Ok sooooo I havnt played for around 2-3 months so I didnt have a deck ready or anything.
Matt Koo my hero was playing GG so I ran something very similar to him. Built it at like 2 am and played a little bit. Worked good and then went to sleep at lol 6AM.

Iight so round 1

I win vs a Plox deck

Round 2
I win vs something i have no clue what it was

Round 3
I play vs Brendan plox. I win quite easily setting up for game within the beginning of the game.

Cool I am 3-0 lunch break. I dont eat anything during tournaments so I just went and had some water and chilled in the room for like 30 minutes.

Round 4

I am playing vs Ranny (GG)
He is a really cool guy and fun to play against. I played defensive and had a gallade and Gardevoir ready to go. My gallade was a little too much for his blisseys and lake boundary sealed the deal np.

Round 5 - TEEEERRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYY
Another cool guy. He was running MagKiss. He tried to yawn me and I was worried because it was my kryptonite often staying asleep for like 8 turns. He didnt have the best start and tried to turn his kiss into a tank but I decided to flip 5 with Gallade and take control that way.

5-0

Round 6 vs Sebastian (Plox)

Another matchup I was very comfortable with. It was a friendly game cause we both were auto in anyways. I dont remember much except me wanting to go for the win with Muk only to realize he didnt have a dre on his gardy so i was forced to bring down his bench ftw =[

6-0 cute stuff

T16 vs Andrew (Plox np)

OK Probably one of THE most ridiculous games I have ever played. He opened weak so I pushed with a gallade early knocking out eveything and ruining his setup. I personally did not know he ran lake boundary so he caught me off guard a little bit. I keep knocking things out while setting up numerous attackers. I am up in prizes 5-1 and he isnt scooping which was kinda weird. He galactic wagers me and I win but I get an awesome hand of 4 energies, warp point, gallade draw into night maintenance.

He mounts the most amazing comeback ever because for like 5 turns I cant do a single thing but stall. It is tied 1-1 I need one of my 3 celio. I draw into my gardy, evolve, use his celio get dusknoir, candy send his only charged pokemon on bench back to deck and I hit gallade for 120. He draws and gets out his jirachi and I get my lvl x for the win.

THATS WHY YOU PLAY 2 =]

Ok t8 vs Magkiss

I have a good matchup and won quite handily and she was fun to play vs ggz

T4

My favorite matchup is vs plox because it is incredibly easy to beat and always so predictable.

I wanted to turn 1 his bird thing with pachi but i didnt get a boundary or plus power. He scoop shortly after.
Game 2 I had a really awesome hand and his bird got smacked by pachi again and he had to scoop.

T2 Brendan Plox

Ok now I have never outplayed someone so badly and not won the game ever in my life.
He is as predicatable as his deck is bad and I set up every single exchange in prizes. Luring him into attacking me and forcing him to do what I wanted.

He starts out fine while I start out with no energy for 2 turns. I get it and set up my bench. He decides to go on the offensive first which is a mistake because I am just setting up defensively. He pushes a manually charges gallade at me with cessation and knocks me out. I then drop candy scramble and gallade which i was saving because I knew he would attack first. I start to dominate and knock out 3 of his ralts. He has a claydoll with unkown q lol? and an energy on it. He draws. and puts 2 to bottom with claydoll to draw 4. HE GETS SCRAMBLE, GARDEVOIR, AND HIS LAST RALTS WOW. He retreats and hits my gallade for 90 for the Ko. He also won a wager that turn giving me garbage =[.

I go defensive while he keeps hitting me but I am setting up my winning play. After knocking things out I have a gardevoir with 3 psychic. He had hit the gardevoir for 90 with dusknoir because I knocked out his claydoll with it. Making prizes 2-2. I then level it up and play warp point. I completely bluffed him out and made him think I made a mistake with not being able to knock out his lvl x so because he is less than amazing he brings out his lvl x and I knock it out with a plus power. He hits me with dusk and I know I have game barring some horrible luck. I then play my gallade attach dre and sonic blade him bringing out his claydoll with an energy on it. He attaches an energy and THE ONLY way he can win is if he draws his last warp with 2 cards from claydoll. He draws the first one and nothing then he draws as his last and only card he is able to draw gets the warp point for the win on my stantler.

Not close to enough time to finish a second game so I lost right there.

I set up the win and the ENTIRE game flawlessly but I get shafted by the luckiest player alive. Someone who I beat soundly often.

Whatever I went 9-1 and get to go to worlds and the only difference was a 500$ one.

Congrats on your second place win bud! I should have listened and left those DRE I see...... Well you get to go to florida anyways and I'm sure with your play style you will rock Florida!!!!:thumb:

lol good job, you sound pretty sour tho ;x
i don't see how you can have such a great matchup vs "plox" when you yourself is just playing gardy tho...

If I beat it 90% of the time then yes I consider it a great matchup.

And if you lost to something so ridiculously lucky then yes I am a little annoyed by it.

I BLAME MY LOSS ON MIKE TAKING AWAY THE OLDSCHOOL DRE FROM MY DECKBOX!

 I'm soo sorry, it will haunt me for years to come if that makes a difference.

nice report too bad about 2nd. Wow gardy vs gardy sounds familar well it is the same hemisphere so I guess the toilet bowl that is this format flushes the same way congrats on 2nd very good for first year playing

I <3 Malcolm

in my mind you're still the National Champion, X - 0 is ballin'. picking up a deck 4 hours before registration is no easy task, but you showed me that you were capable to understand the deck properly and know the highs and lows of the deck.

You played the deck well and put in the better techs, and hope you do well at worlds!

I guess the BeeGee's are now has-beens and it's the year of M&M's turn to represent Canada well along with Kevin, Jerry, and Brandon.

there's one thing i learned from this whole trip, and that's to not make anyone else a deck but yourself... it's going to blow up in your face!

hope we can meet up at another place that's not our home again i.e. worlds!

P.S. Maybe next time you should know what a baltoy does hahahaha

Later Danish

Grats guy =D.. I told you, you would be final 2 with that deck and your leet skills =P. M&M number 1 and 2 in Canada !! REPRESENT. Take care of my deck until Worlds, and I'll see you in Florida haha =) ...

Hey buddy, congrats on t2 and props for the prop XD

haha thanks for the details in games 1-semis...I felt like I was there! >.< lol

One last thing; you've gotta learn to take a loss. Even more so in this format. I've said it before; a desent player with a good list will win with enough luck. Don't hate the player; hate the game.

He didn't play plox =)

No indeed he didn't. I swear that list knew my deck card for card and took it apart just like Mr. Koo was playing it. Great game Malcolm in R5. Sorry it wasn't us getting a replay in the T4, that would have been too cool to be beaten by you again!

Just a comment from my older kid. "How come someone who looks so scary is really so nice".

Good luck in Orlando!

"Top 2 Canadian Nats - Bleh"

Bleh? You got the trip, didn't you? Sour grapes at second place is pretty uncool.

Congrats on your performance (which was definitely not bleh-worthy).

congats malcolm! good luck at worlds.

you deserve to be a champ with your very good skills (mad skills? ahahahha).

hope to see you again and eveybody........... and stay up till its morning of the tournament ahahaha.

-ranny

he was setting you up the entire time playing stupid like he didnt know what was going on only he was stalling to smash you at the last second so you would not be able to play another round.
