iceboy, after Worlds I will try to arrange something, depending on my free time.
Now it 's already summerholiday for some and more will be away during the next weeks.

Hello Everyone,


Because the tournament got some delay and I really like to finish it.
I am going to change some things on order to finish this tournament in 2 weeks.

This is what is going to happen.
We have 17 players left over.
I have to drop 1 player and I forced Beertois to be it.
If any of you is not able to play the playoffs let me know. In that case Beertois will take your 'seat'.
The ones who did not reported a standing for round 4 will stay in the game I will arrange that.

So actually we are starting a play off/follow up but as Single Elemination. (best out of 3 still)
I will give the pairings tonight and you will have 3 days to play.

If you didn't play when time is over the win will be assigned this way:
I will contact one of the players by MSN, and first send him/her a word document which is not the be opened yet, and than let him/her make the choise which of the 2 players is odd or even.
After this choise is made the player opens the document and the winner is known because there will be a odd or even number in that document.

Sorry it has to be done this way but I am leaving for holiday too in 2 weeks and want this to be finished.

Top16 has to be reported before Sunday july 9, 1900
Top 8 has to be reported before Wednesday july 12, 23.00.
Top 4 has te be reported before Saturday juli 15, 23.00
Finals prefered to play Sunday july 16 but has to be done before wednesday july 19.
I have to mail the winners prize before I leave so this is the only way I really can complete it.

I hope I don't disappoint you all with this sollution.
In the mean time I will try to work out a different set up for online tournaments.

We're going into Top 16 tonight? So the swiss was basically just for fun?

You could also do the following;

Tonight pairings Top 8; Must be completed by sunday (14.00 GMT)
Sunday night pairings T4; completed wednesday (14.00 GMT)
Finals; Wednesday till sunday 16th July.
 
TOP 8 was after 5 rounds, now we only played 4 rounds, that's why I do top 16.

Also the standings are difficult with so many players not reporting.
I am not going to pair manual, this will be done by computer with the results of swiss btw.
It was my choise to do it this way.

And this whole tournament was for fun and as a learning process for me how to work out online tournament.

I can say, I learned a lot.

Pablo, you are never on msn...please come in so we can play.
 
I speak Pablo almost every day on msn, andceo check if you added the correct one.
(but don't try to reach him when a WC soccer game is going on)
