I've always wanted to build a Grass deck. I know that Grass isn't exactly the most popular type around, especially with Infernape and its cohorts breathing their powerful fire, but I'm giving it a shot. I hope you guys can help me cite the errors in my cards and strategy.

POKEMON: 20
4 Turtwig
3 Grotle
3 Torterra
1 Torterra Lv. X

3 Combee
3 Vespiquen

3 Roselia

TRAINERS/SUPPORTERS/TOOLS: 26
3 Buffer Piece

3 Castaway
4 Celio's Network
3 Steven's Advice

3 Plus Power
3 Energy Switch
3 Rare Candy
4 Warp Point

ENERGY: 14
10 Grass Energy
4 Scramble Energy

STRATEGY: Build up Torterra quick enough by the use of Celio's Network and Rare Candy. Roselia, with relatively high HP, to hold off starting forces; if not available, Combee can switch opponent's Pokemon or it can attack, whichever is preferable. Of course, KO'd Pokemons are inevitable, given that this is Grass; Scramble Energy and Torterra Lv. X's Poke-Power will be very useful then. In any case, once Torterra is damaged, Warp Point can mess up opponent's main attacker, while swapping Torterra with Vespiquen, who then can heal all the damage done to Torterra with just one Grass Energy (Leaf Honey attack).

So... what do you guys think?

This deck has a very solid strategy. I have some ideas for it though:

-3 roselia
-2 grotile
-1 warp point
-1 stephen's
-1 energy switch
-1 celio's

+3 corphish (HP#62)-it can make use of scramble energy to turn the tides in a losing battle against a
fire deck
+2 switch (in case you don't want the opponent to switch attackers)
+2 pokemon fan club (it is modified legal believe it or not-it's in OP4)
+1 rare candy
+1 torterra lv.X

These are just my opinions and they aren't perfect but I think they will help your deck improve overall.

I like the name, at least..

Just the name? Haha. But thanks, anyway. I'm new with this sort of thing, so at least something worked. Haha.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

i dont think corphish can use scramble energy since its a basic >_>...

heres my fix

-2 warp point
-1 rare candy
-1 combee
-1 vespiqueen
-1 roslia

+3 Budew
+2 copycat
+1 roserade

Thanks, espeonchris! :) But is it really safe to remove 2 warp points if I'm counting too much on Vespiquen to heal my Torterra (who has 4 C to retreat, after all)? How will Budew help me? In any case, thanks for the comments! :)

Hey, thanks for the support dunsparce fan. I'm not really convinced of putting roselia in my deck, so it's good that you guys agree. Haha.

Using Warp Point just to heal without dealing any damage may mean free prize for your opponent (and scramble), but you don't want that to happen TOO often. I believe you want to go aggro Torterra so you don't really need that many Warps

Oh, try and put in Battle Frontier or Cess Crystal (the only Pokemon with a Power/Body is Lv X but you won't be using that as much)

Yeah, I'll do that, Cessation Crystal will be a good addition. Thanks, shadowtogetic. Just a question, though: what does it mean to go "aggro Torterra"?

Just use Torterra to attack over and over, hence the aggro part. Though, don't take this literally. You might need to retreat or something eventually.

What about
- Budew
-Roselia

+ Chingling
+ Chimecho

since Chingling will let you grab Supporters and then you can use Chimecho for drawing. Budew cannot grab much. If you want to keep Budew then how about adding some Master/Great/Quick/Dusk Balls instead of some of the supporters to aid getting Pokemon?

Rather than using Energy Switch (sorry, it's a pretty bad card) try teching a 1-1-1 or even 1-0-1 Sceptile (POP4). The Sceptile allows you to move your grass energy around as you wish, which makes using switches and warp points a lot easier as you can move the energy you need up to the attacker afterwards.
Budew is good to help get the various trainers you will need in the deck (mostly Rare Candy and the Switch cards), but I think there are better starters for this as a Rare Candied Torterra doesn't really help all that much.
The Eggs in MT my be useful to help power things up a bit quicker. They also work pretty well with the Sceptile I mentioned above.

i would use 4 potions. im serious here.
that way theyll never kill you.
oh ape does 120 damage.
i use 4 potions and leaf storm attach a buffer
i live for another turn :D
thats why i like torterra. high hp and potion actually goes well with it.

I made the Warp Points 3 and put in 1 Switch because you may not want to have your opponent switch their active. I also took out Roselia because, without Budew, it's pretty much usless. Finally, I put in Celebi because it can help with Energy distrabution, and it also helps you get the Scramble used early game. There are other versions of this deck posted on the Gym, so you may want to also look at those for some help. I do like the name, and the deck idea.
