ummm, what is the ideal amount of trainers one should have in a deck?

Depends on your deck, but the most basic deck outline goes:

20/20/20 That is 20 Pokemon, 20 Trainers and 20 Energies.

Back in the day the "rules" would tell you about 30 energies, 10 trainers 20 pokemon, the game has def. changed. At least it's no longer 40 trainers 10 pokemon 10 energy.

Most decks run about 14-17 energies depending on the deck... 19-24 pokemon depending on the deck.... 19-27 trainers depending on the deck...

DragTrode about 15 energies
RockLock about 13-15 energies
Blaziken about 16-17 energies
Ludicolo about 15-16 energies
so on and so forth
