The most fun you can have with Pokémon—three tournaments in one! It’s time for the Pokémon Triathlon! This is where you prove you are the best All-Around Pokémon Trainer!

Date: Saturday, April 4

Place: Nelson House, 1517 12th St NE, Auburn, WA 98002

Time: Registration starts at 1:30, tournament starts at 2:30. Tournament will end around 9PM.

Admission: $4 per player and a potluck item per family (Admission pays for the trophies and door prizes.)

The Details

Round 1: Pokémon Trading Card Game Event. Bring a 40 card deck in the modified format, that uses only common and uncommon cards. (4 Prizes) See www.go-pokemon.com for information on building a modified deck.

Round 2: Pokémon Battle Revolution Video Game Event. Bring a team of 4 different Pokémon in your Pokémon Platinum, Pokemon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl game. We will battle two on two. No duplicate Pokémon. You can only use 1 Legendary. Don’t even think about using Game-Sharked Pokemon! Arceus is not allowed. Pokémon Revolution will change all Pokémon into level 50 Pokémon for the battles.

Round 3: Pokémon Trading Figure Event. Bring a team of 4 figures and 4 trainer cards. No duplicate Pokémon. We will use the small, training mat. We have some figures to loan out.

Players can sign up for one, two or all three events. Awards will be given for All-Around winners and First Place in each category. Players will only play within their age bracket (Junior, Senior and Masters). Each round will be made up of three Swiss matches.

Don’t live in the immediate area? Let us know ahead of time and we’ll put you up for the night!

This tournament is unsanctioned.

So,

On 4/4

4 Trading Figure Game Trainer Cards
4 Video Game Pokemon
A 40 card deck
4 Bucks
And some Food

4 a really fun time!

Yay! Lol I can't play the video game for the love of my life but I'm going to try anyway. :D So is the fighting wormadam from pop whatever going to be allowed?

I'll be there. I need to see if I can find my DS though. . .

I think that all the food should be required to have 4 calories. That would be pretty cool.

^ Yeah, that too. =P

What's with the whole "four" thing? It is a triathlon, isn't it?

I think there's gonna be another suprise event where we have to do something else related to pokemon, like card trivia or something. (What is the name of Tyranitar ex DF's second attack in German?)

I'm so exited for this. I just want states to be over so I can come to the tiaaathlon.

pokeMATHter really likes numbers. (Psyducky is writing this, too lazy to log out and log back in!)

It just so happens, the tournament fell on 4/4 and 4 is a good number to use. I know, triathlon is 3 - oh well, Pokemon only released three ways to play. If you can come up with another event - let me know and we'll change it to the (what?) quadathlon?

Last year's triathlon had a numbers theme, too: 3 events, 4 Prizes, 5 on your Video Game Team, and 6 figures. We even charged the square-root of 9 as admission.

What about all those disoncontinued little things?
I remember a few random things from when pokemon first came out, little dice and coin games and the like?

I have an idea for the fourth thing.

Egyptian Massacre.
I could totally find some pokemon-themed playing cards.

Actually, that would probably be too hard to pull off in a room that isn't like 80 yards long.

So I'm assuming that counts for those cool basic energy from league too? I don't wanna play wimpy non-holo energy. =/

April is a bad time for us sorry. Lots of bithday's, our Anniversary. Sakuracon and regionals. We would have loved to come but We had a 2nd Birthday party to take Sarah to and we missed Our friends daughters 1st birthday last year due to Sakura-con conflict so we swore to them that we would not miss it this year.

We are very much looking foreward to the Water Gym (if that will still be happening this year). Your Poke-partys are allways a ton of fun. See you next week in Oregon.

We will have the Water Gym. My brother is coming out from Virginia, so we have to schedule around that, but it should happen regardless.
