Trip To Worlds... Decks on planes?

I'd vote for Bill Maher in a heartbeat. I am not worried about being politically correct all the time. Just want to catch the b*ss (ryhymes with custard). The key word was little. It might come a day when you don't worry about stuff like being right all the time. Think Indians at a reservation casino worry about the guy's picture on the twenty dollar bill.

Where have you seen that the airlines cannot give you drinks ???? You, as the passenger, cannot carry on any liquids. The airline can still serve liquids.

Yes I know that, I've been on more plane trips and security checks than any of you.

I was talking about bringing your own snacks. Like chips and a Monster or some energy drinks.

For US domestic and flights to/from the US, they have banned liquids as well as electronic devices (anything electronic such as a camera can be used as a detanator since liquid explosives are very instable).

I still want to confirm whether a DS/SP is acceptable...Hopefully it is.

I guess the best thing to do is call your airline a couple hrs before your flight and make sure. Thats what I'm doing.

From what I got from the news is NO electronics such as laptops, cameras, ipods ect will be allowed....so i asume ds/sp will not be allowed :(

Yeah guys your not gonna take your deckbox with you. You cant demand inspection of it or put it in your pocket. The security is not nice. You will have to check it or dump it. LAX, Ohare, New York airports and all other international airports will not let you carry it on. It truly is a shame now that we can't bring carry on luggage anymore. Can't even bring a book along...

That's not true. From what I've heard, ONLY London Heathrow has these extreme security measures (I feel sorry for the UK crew =( ). Flying from any other European Airport, all hand luggage EXCEPT LIQUIDS AND GELS is ok. So it looks like us flying from Amsterdam Schiphol should be able to bring our decks on board. Phew. Don't know about US National flights, though...

You can only have 1 checked bag per person NoPoke.

and that's not true either. For most (all?) intercontinental flights, it's TWO bags a person you're allowed to check in.

I just got back from Newark, I had my ipod, Gameboy SPs, DSs, all with me. This was cross country though, not international stuff.

Sounds great, what airline was it?

===UK FLIGHTS ===
All UK flights from the UK to America have the full restrictions. If you want to take it: it goes in the hold! Its not limited to Heathrow, Gatwick etc are also affected.

For all other flights departing the UK but not going to the USA The full restriction applies before going through security. Once you are through security you are able to purchase goods and carry them onto the airplane with the exception of all liquids and gel

Where no cabin bagage is allowed at least one airlines has increased the hold baggage allowance to three bags for UK departing international flights to the USA.

UK to USA: It is recommended that you check-in three hours before the scheduled departure time. But you can't check-in earlier than four hours before scheduled departure time.

All of the above is subject to change but was correct at the time i wrote it.

Just imagine what will happen when a guy with Cardiac Angina tries to get on with his Prescription Nitroglycerin.

I see big problems coming...

On tv they said that from England, it was not allowd with any hand baggage :( How the hell can you survive a air flight to the US from Europe without playing pokemon :O I just managed it to Polen.... no, i went to sleep there to, i managed a 35 min. flight to a other place in Norway without sleeping.

You obviously aren't a travel agent then, whereas I am.

For the first point, or the second? I'm not, but I know booked a flight and read the fine print! Two bags of checked luggage a person from NETHERLANDS to USA. Travelling with Delta Airlines: See here "You can check two bags per passenger free of charge."

And on www.schiphol.nl it says just no liquids and gels, and everything else is fine. If you're an expert on travel from Schiphol Airport to USA Airports and have proof of the reverse, lemme know :p
