Trying to Discard unknown G

Im sure you have heard this question a few times but stumbled upon this question during a battle roads but i wasnt sure. If you use Electivire Lv.X (MT 121/123) Pulse Barrier attack to remove all your opponents stadiums and pokemon tools to prevent all effects including damage done to Electivire during your opponents next turn,can you discard Unkown G in this way or will he just stay?
And if you were able to discard a stadium in play but not the Unknown G Will you get Electivire Lv.X's effect from that attack?
