Hi. Iv been running a kyurem and articuno ex deck and its been going very well
The only problem is if i run into a klingklang deck due to weakness

IM looking for a fire pokemon that has a strong colourless energy attack
I thought about outrage reshiram but it seems too risky to need damage

Any ideas will be appreciated

Given the requirement of a "strong, colorless energy attacker", another Poké (non-EX of course) that comes to mind is Simisear (Plasma Storm). As you know, Reshiram is the best R Poké with a colorless energy attack, but the KK deck players can easily "play around" Reshiram and attack your more valuable resources. Simisear, IMHO, just may not inflict enough damage to really counter a KK deck.

So, with that being said, should you do consider adding a few R energy, then you can open your deck to more R Poké possibilities to effectively counter KK decks. For example, you have a variety of Poké you can review, select and playtest. Following are some basic and stage 1 R, non-EX Poké (I choose to omit stage 2 R Poké just to minimize disruption to your current deck when you incorporate any new R Poké) you might find interesting enough to consider:
  • Arcanine (Next Destinies #13)
  • Camerupt (Boundaries Crossed) (Plasma Storm)
  • Flareon (Plasma Freeze)
  • Heatmor (Dark Explorers)
  • Magmortar (Dragons Exalted)
  • Moltres (Next Destinies)
  • Ninetales (Dragons Exalted)
  • Volcarona (Dark Explorers)
They all have different capabilities and attributes; and hopefully, one will best suit your particular needs and playing style. By the way, do consider adding a Team Plasma Badge (or 2, especially if you are running Deoxys in your deck).

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Thanks tuxedo for the answer
Thats given me a heap to think about
I ran deoxys ex for a little while but i only had one
If i havto run different energys then i might run the reshiram and zejrom that are stronger with each other on the bench?
Then my pokemon list would be...
2 articuno ex
4 kyurem (frost spear)
2 reshiram
2 zekrom

Id add in 2 badges to help with colress machines

What are the attacks of moltres?
Also is that the luring flame heatmor

After the rotation, Moltress from next desinties would be the best one to tech in. You'd need a prism or fire energy, but if metal is enough of a problem, it could work. Here's the attacks.

Moltres - Fire - 120 HP
Basic

[R][C][C] Searing Flame: 50 damage. The Defending Pokémon is now Burned.

[R][C][C][C] Fire Blast: 90 damage. Discard a [R] Energy attached to this Pokémon.

Weakness: Water x2
Resistance: Fighting -20
Retreat Cost: 2

Mostly colorless requirements make it easy to tech in. (I've seen this used as a tech in the past and it works).
