Strat:Use alakazam lv X for putting damage counters on my turtwig to power up and take em away. The trainers help set up the combo.

with 4 snowpoint you could use some skuntank
-2 psychic
+1 skuntank
+1 uxie (will help when you need to draw, if no uxie, try jirachi/chatot/sableye)

if amchamp/GeChamp is big you might also want to run a toxicroak, -1 psychic (turtwig shouldn't die very much, so not many energy is needed)

Or he could run Unown G for Machamp and let Gengar do it's damage... It would help Turty wouldn't it?
 
just one more turn than with energy gain.

I mean, you can't always get what you want. It's just against one deck.
 
Since Alakazam can only move damage on your pokemon, you may want a way to do that damage. Electrode G is good at that ^_-
 
A reeeeeally good way to put damage on your own SPs is Bronzong G's Galactic Switch...

And 4 Crobat G is way overkill. 2's honestly all you need.

I'd also suggest some Miasma Valley to put damage on SPs but... You don't play any that'd be damaged! :[ On another note though, Pokemon Contest Hall I almost consider more valuable then Snowpoint. Almost. Being able to search out a basic for free each turn (and throw Energy Gains on those Turtwigs :D) is reeeeeeally good.

Oh, and you HAVE to play Unown G. You have no possible way to win against Machamp without it (not to mention attacks that cause poison/etc. will kill Turtwig GL fast without it). 2's honestly enough.
 
Mewtwo is coming back in popularity. If the Lv X card comes out, you can scoop.
Machamp is one of the more popular decks now as well. If it comes up, you can pretty much scoop. This deck needs 3 Unown Gs to be able to survive Machamp. Not sure what to do about Mewtwo. Any pure SP deck without Dialga G will autolose to Mewtwo Lv X.
 
Dear Nugget,

Any thought to adding a Luxray line including the Level X to your Turtwig deck? Flash Impact could do 30 damage to your benched Turtwig "charging it up" completely so to speak. I am thinking of adding Turtwig to a Luxray build for that reason (see my post, http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=101077 , and I would also appreciate your comments about my deck).

Good luck with your Turtwig deck--I suspect Turtwig is an underrated card.
