The strategy is easy. Get Typlosion out and strike. If i get Typlosion on T1, i can inflict 110 damage on turn2. I haven't try it out personally but i can fell that this is a great deck. I don't know that is it suitable to add 1-1 Slowking UF just to grab tool. 6 draw may be to less but i have to make some space for other thing. I like the curse powder idea. That is although my Typlosion is KO-ed, i still can do 30. I can KO my typlosion on my own! Generally, it is like Queendom. Get PIdgeot or the main attacker out and just ATTACK!!!

Me thinks you need some DX Plusle in the deck. Good luck with the deck.

LOL, I was planning to build a Typhlosion UF deck too and now I found this ^_^ nice deck , Typhlosion UF is a great pokemon and IMO stronger than Typhlosion Ex ( Unseen forces ).

Let's see, maybe you can try this:

- 2 Sitrus berry
- 3 Great balls
- 1 Cursed Powder
+ 4 Plusle
+ 1 Energy root
+ 1 Celio's Network

Drop 1 Copycat and 1 Steve's advice and then add 2 Rocket's admin ^_^

- 1 Fire energy
+ 1 Holon FF

I'm testing it in that way ^_^

You can also use some Lighting energies, add 1 more DRE and then use 2 - 2 Lanturn HL ( as a tech agaisnt those Blastoise Ex and Ludicolos )

Good luck for your Battles ^_^

EDITED VERSION!!

Lanturn isn't very interesting here... Typhlosion has no weakness with holon FF energy and his power can only move basics energys...

I play this deck with a 2-1-2 pidgeot line, it's really good.

Curse Powder only works if you are knocked out due to damage from your opponent's attack.

I like the Sitrus Berry idea though. If Typhlosion already has at least 30 damage on him: attach Sitrus, attack and get that +30 with Rage, and then in between turns heal yourself of 30 damage before he can attack you. Then next turn you slap on the Energy Root.

Sorry I forgot about that. Just have 3 Holon FF in the deck then instead of Lanturn.

But Seriously, You might want another 2-2 line in here. I just think Typlosion won't be as good all by himself.
OR you can tech in a Moltres ex.

For those us us still learning, could you explain why?

Thanks,

Moltes is a good tech-in. Due to the fact that is has Legendary Asent and that it is a fire deck.
Ask somebody else on what tech in means. lol

Y you need Moltres by Meganium45.

Every once in a while you get stuck in a matchup in which you are "stuck" (Toxic from Nidoqueen, slow start against a fully pumped whatever, paralyzed by a whatever....) This deck plays little if any switch.

Moltres EX is needed to sweep in and save the day - take a few energy up with him, and confuse your opponent, potentially buying some time, and trying to get the threat out of the active spot.

Having 110 hitpoints should make the bird last for a turn or 2 while you are recovering and trying to get another Typho set up!

Some play 1 of the bird - some play 2....key is to PLAY IT, and never as a starter unless you have to!

Thanks

I know what tech-in means.

What I was wondering (and what I have since figured out) is why Moltres over something else. I see now that the Legendary Ascent power combined with the fact that you're running strictly fire Basic energies means quick power up and *bam*.

Generally speaking, when someone says, "you need to add <blank>," I'm typically curious as to why you choose <blank> to add over something else, not why you're adding anything in the first place.

Thanks :thumb: ,
S.

can some one clarify which typhlosion in UF is? typhlosion ex moves the energy, and the other one
has burning aura. so which one is it? i think both of them can work good in this deck.

This is NOT the typhlosion EX...This is the Rare/Holo one with the power that places 1 damage counter on Typhlo and 1 on the defending Pokemon between turns!
