Tyranitar d Needs a Friend

It does! I want to make a Tyranitar d deck but don't have any other good Pokemon to go with it. I have tried Typhlosion UF and currently have Arcanine (Trainer Kit 2). Neither felt or feel right...I'd like to be able to manipulate it's Power in DX-on format.

Would Flygon EX work, even though it'd intro three different kinds of Energies? What, in your experience, has done well for those of you who've played it? Thanks in advance...

cargo is not the best bet, but the only bet.

there is no other pokemon you can go with t-tar d except cargo.

oh, i nearly forget, you need pupitar and larvitar in that deck.

Preferably Slugma as well.

Here, try Camerupt EX.

So a 4-line each of Basic Tyranitar d and Magcargo DX won't work? What's this world coming to?

;) Ideally, then, to make the guy work, it'd be like so...

3/2/2 Tyranitar d
3/3 Camerupt EX
3/3 Magcargo DX
2 Plusle/Luvdisc/Tauros

Not that I have any of that, but it helps to get an idea.

Defenitely Jirachi =\ any deck with Magcargo that doesn't use Jirachi needs a HUGE excuse.

Jirachi? Not in my Ludi - I play DX Plusle. Sets up Ludi's Circular Steps quite nicely.

Lol it also sets up your trainers, candies, evolutions quite nicely...oh wait that's Jirachi.
=\

I don't see the synergy between Tyranitar and Camerupt ex... Why would you want to take energy off the top of your deck and put it into play? Isn't it better sitting there, and adding to your damage when you attack?

Tyranitar Delta? Hm...

I'm tempted to say something like Salamence Delta that discards Energies attached to him, and then use Delcatty EX (Crystal Guardians) to fetch the energies back.

(Pokemon who discard energies who look useful include Steelix EX UF, Houndoom UF, Lugia EX UF, etc.)

<sarcasm>But naaah... Having a pokemon who rips energies out of the deck, a pokemon who discards them, and a pokemon who puts them all back.. as well as the second and third doing massive damage? It isn't any good at all. :/ </sarcasm>

I'd also thought of using it with Pokemon that have Foresight... or with Pokedex HANDY909 (rotated out, unfortunately) or Pokenav.

Aerodactyl d
Tyranitar d
Magcargo
Magcargo EX

Use Aerodactyl d to search for a Fire Energy and Magcargo to Smooth Over for another. Crush Draw for said Energy and attach the usual Fire to Magcargo EX for a two-per. In no time at all, you have a loaded Magcargo EX to take out a Big Gun.

It seems to be solid.

Maagcargo ex is gone. EX Dragons was rotated out 2 years ago lol.

As I said, try Tyranimence.

3-2-3 Ttar
2-1-2 Sally
2-2 Cargo
4 Jirachi

Trainers
Holon Engine
Possibly Reversal for Sally
H. Research Tower and H Ruins
Other Trainers as well

Energy
Fire. Metal, Holon FF, DRE, Holon Trode/ Ton etc.

The only downside is that LunaSol and BF mess you up.
Space Center could be used for LunaSol.

Magcargo and Tyranitar EX

Delta Crush and Smooth Over can both be used from the bench. Smooth Over to put the energy on top. Delta Crush. Put the energy on the hopefully active Ttar EX for and extra energy per turn

For an update of sorts, my friend went with my UNLIMITED idea from post #17, with an additional Scizor EX stall. The Tyranicargo search engine works wonderfully and clinches a deck idea that was in the works for a long time. Thanks for the input...

Now I just need a friend for Swampert EX. ;) (But that is a topic for a DIFFERENT thread.)
