^Like I said, t-tar #1 isn't that important. It will be taken down after it gets 2-3 prizes. Its the second one you need to get out. Since it takes 3 turns to do a legit attack, it takes 6 turns for the deck to get up 2 t-tars fully powered up at the minimal. Lets assume you're facing metanite. Okay, I'll let you go first. You get up t1 t-tar ex, with a fighting energy. You do 30 to beldulm/casty. They do, mentor for beldulm, dratini, and treeko/beldulm. They dd for 3. You go, attach, draw with tv/w.e., and ko the active/30 to casty. They go, send up beldulm, mentor again, drop down another casty, evo some stuff, and delta draw for 5. Next turn, you attach, ko casty. They send up w.e. They candy into nite d, recharge on a dragonair, and attach to dragonair. They retreat/switch/briney/warp point thier active, and twister you. Assume 1 heads. Now you need to waste another turn to power up t-tar again to ko the active. If you don't and attach to the bench, then they will mostly likely latios* you next turn. Either way, it does not look go for you, since they will overwhelm you with metagross d with dragonite d. And thats giving metanite an average start and you're "average" start, without sceptile ex in play. And mathorn, its incredible how high that number is, compared to my deck that plays 4 mentors and 4 trans and yet I start with 1 of them about 3/5 games...then again, I tend to have terrible opening hands anyways.

You only have 3 t-tar ex...And if you miss out on either lavitar or gb within the first 3 turns, your lone fossil dies...so, your starts are pretty bad if you miss out on that 1 card. Your deck is soo relient on getting your basics, evos, and candies in your opening hand/draw, that if you miss, you really don't have a chance against any other deck. They will just delta draw and get set-up while you're struggling to get enough energy on t-tar to get rid of that casty...

Struggling on eenergy...OMG
this deck has never had a MAJOR energy problem..
so wut are u talkin about?????
and isnt EVERY deck relied on getting out the basics FOR the evo's?..........
exactly......i get wut your sayin thou but you aint really sayin it rite...lol
but yea i hear ya thou

The reason the mentor version doesnt work is because you cant do it first turn in 50% of your games, great ball can do that making it WAY more consistant.

Nice deck but how does it do against Flygon?
I would assume it is really easy considering you have resistance to it, but I have never played it.

Flygon is a great Match up because
it outspeeds it and it has resistencelike u said
but i4got to post the great flygon matchup on here...
but thanx for your input:thumb:

James whooped Tyranitar with Flygon against his buddy in the finals of the Rockford CC. Don't ask me how but he did it!

Banette is Autoloss to this. Flygon is the only psychic who has a chance.

i played him twice on appr last night. i beat the deck with raieggs and metalix. i would've lost the metalix game if not for a tech. he had t1 t-tar both games. it IS a good deck, but it's not BDIF. Energy is def not a problem, the list i made has less than his and plays holon engine, which may or may not be necessary. good job with the deck.

Well Raieggs is hard to beat cause of Eggs and MSNBC is just so versatile. What was in MSN? Latios*?

naw...lol he had some Groudons in there which
kills Ttar one hit no dought....lol
there was no way to beat it with that tech and
the fact that i had some very dumb prize trades

mmm here's a question... what happens if you run into a dustox EX? or if you face a quick safeguard deck? I mean if you're going to say that ur going to battle it with ur latias, castforms, or cradily.. then i dont think you know what ur up against. Imo the deck seems to run pretty well and it does have its quickness + power which can dominate any deck pretty quickly but once somebody sets up the latias EX or safeguarder i think you would b in a lil bit of trouble.

Kevin

You dont know simple math

Anywho its simple who the deck runs its not rocket science, or t1 magikarp. Great Ball, Larvitar, fossils, its obviously what the deck tries to do even for the rookies lol Is the deck that good? No. There are a lot of flaws in this deck that are obvious, like a certain monkey pointed out before the second ttar maybe die very quickly, lati*s dont ohko it but doing but barely leaves it alive, and cause of its weaknesses a lot of other pokes can 2hko it so its really that great solo.

BUT as you can see the deck doesnt play stupid casty, or even the holon engine. So its obviously like the kid has been saying he is being red face paint, and since he wins all the time and is in the senior division he can get away with it

The deck is not GREAT, but he can replace ttar with something else and make a whole new agreement about it. So obviously its not bad either. I personally like decks that dont waste time setting up so i find this deck kinda fun to play. I tweaked it a bit and replaced ttar ex and added a few more copycats, its not great but its fun.

Yea the raieggs matchup was understandable. With metalix, I stalled with latios for 3-4 turns while desperately trying to get setup and draw into some energy. i had no free bench space either so i was hoping he would knock something out so i could get my steelix. eventually, i had a steelix sniping, a groudon on the bench powered up with no damage, 3 gross, and a queen. gg.

Assuming Flygon isn't teching Latios EX d, anyway. I'm not sure pure EX with no support can fly in an environment with Latilock.

You would have to play him to figure it out. By the way, for those who don't know, James (J-Flint) is ranked 12th in the world for ALL AGE GROUPS! Which means, he would PWN all you people that say this deck sucks.

seriously, let flint talk man, no one wants to hear from a groupie.

:thumb:

Jflint - you're annoying.

LFF- How is he annoying you in anyway? Is he stomping into your thread and typing that you are annoying? No. He is backing up his deck.
