Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK City Championships series

The play points seem really harsh. Some people just attend locals...say their locals have a Battle Roads (x2) and a Cities, you still can't enter nationals. Even if your local area has a States as well you still can't enter as that gives you 9 Play Points?

Players from Wales, Scottland, Exeter all come to mind here...I'm sure there is more...even Nott, some people simply can not travel and only have the option to attend their locals...but this still isn't enough for UK nats? madness

Thats silly.

If you're unable to make the time and travel arrangements to attend at least one states in England its unlikely you'd be able to attend nationals. Its not hard when you chip in with others like what happened with Nottingham states.

but your missing the point...even if you attend a states cities and two battle roads you still don't qualify...

also the rankings have messed up yet again haha, with Cardiff BRs point disappearing yet again lol

People are forgetting you also get 1 Play Point for every league season you attend, giving you the chance for an extra 8 per year (I think around 5 or 6 league seasons count before nationals).

is geting 1 play point for attending league confirmed?...do you have to attend the full season or just 1 session? etc

just that I have heard nothing about it...

if going to league counts the same for attending a Battle Roads thats a bit crazy too xD

I personally like the idea of a Play Points system, but think that the point values for Battle Roads and City Championships need to be increased, by about a point each. Considering most people live within about 2 hours of their closest State Championship, it seems strange to have them give the same reward as going to 5 Battle Roads.

I think it's also pretty harsh on those people who live in areas without much OP, which are usually awarded a couple of Battle Roads and a City Championship each year.

Which is fine if you have a league near you to attend :thumb: My nearest league is about one and a half hours away.

I agree with George, 10 points is a little steep. 6 or 8 maybe, but I think 10 will cut off a fair few players that would normally attend nationals.

Aberdare was meant to give out championship points the same as battle roads... it was posted here by Ian.

Now looking on my play history, it says my standing 2nd but for points it say s N/A and they are not award for this event???

The CPs are somewhat messed up at the moment and currently none of the UK SPEs are showing with CPs but they all will eventually.
