Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK nationals 2011 - registration - ratings points

It is not pre-registration in that you are not booking a place. It is a way of ensuring that you are registered in the TOM database which avoids many problems that can delay the tournament start.

We will have a few players without player IDs and a few with incorrect age groups. This is inevitable with an open tournament, inevitable when so many of the UK players have not activated or corrected the details on the pokemon.com website.

And filling in the registration now is leaving it FAR TOO LATE.

I very much doubt I'll get any chance to check the form again.

Both Juniors and Seniors/masters results are uploaded.

I now have to try and eliminate as many of the duplicate IDs that players "accumulate" during the course of a season as I can before the cut off date. *GRRR*

Multiple player IDs are not just a pain for me to resolve, but are also against P!Ps rules.

There can also be other smaller prizes like hats and playmats sometimes given out to the top finishers.
They did have some for "everyone" else mid game. For us Masters each table had one item (Hat/playmat/binder) and everyone flipped/gave it to the winner of their match/if one person had enough of said item they gave it to their opponent.

Approximately 50% of the Masters got a free item. Nevermind the crapload of money we spend.

All the Juniors (I believe) got a free hat, that was nice.

Yeah I was gutted to sit down and miss out on the playmat on a coin flip :/ I wasn't as disappointed when that player flipped to donk me and whiffed :D

I loved the 'Luxray lottery' from last year where everyone got given one pack of Rising Rivals. It was pretty fun to hear screams from across the room as people pulled one.
