Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

(Un)Official 2010 Worlds Championships Updates

i don't see why it's impressive. last years junior world champion grinded in

I guess because he is undefeated too, at least for now. From another thread where someone was asking if anyone who grinded in ever won (Masters presumably) it sounded impressive.

As usual, coverage is a joke from POP. And 125 players playing in Worlds, what gives? Do they just draw a number to determine how many are playing in Worlds from a hat? Everytime it's different. Yikes.

How do you figure 125? I count 289 after Round 1 standings. How many were there in previous years?

T16 for masters are up!

5x Europe
4x USA
3x JP
2x Asia (HK and MY)
2x Canada

Ill be cheering for Yasmin and Sami. Would love to see Con and Yamato up there too though!

Germany and Switzerland Top16, omg lol

TIME TO WIN!

a very balanced top 16 (country wise):

6 North Americans (4 USA 2 Canadians)
5 Asiatics (3 Jpns, 1 malesian, 1 from honk kong!!!! 2 new countries on the rise!!!)
5 European (1 german, 1 Dnmk, 1 Switzerland, 1 UK, 1 Finland)

amazing!

I have to wonder how many people on this thread have ever been to a tournament bigger than a local Cities or BR. Believe it or not, the last thing on the list of things to do is update for the internet. Updating the internet, while cool, has no actual bearing on the tournament at hand. The TO's are more concerned about running the tournament....

....just a crazy idea....

I wonder how many sports/events you have ever seen in your life besides pokemon. It is actually very common to have coverage at a big event, let alone a world championships. We're not asking for live-streaming and constant updates about prize counts, we just want to know about 30 min. after each round if our favorite players have won their match.

edit; @ sdrawkcab: up until now T32 has always been Bo3. Including last year when T32 was also played on the same day as swiss.

Goon morning for the Main Hall. The TCG Top 16 competitors are taking their seats and setting up. Brackets and matches are listed on the official website.

They have plenty of staff to do updates. However, the pokegym is not the offical TCG website. The standings have been up since last night. And if a problem does arise, updates do go to the bottom of the to do list.
Nats and worlds are very much different in how they are staffed, on a basic level, you will have the TPCi employees working at these events whereas you would not @ states or regionals.
The players could of course update via this thread, but either they are playing, trading, or touring. No one wants to waste too much time posting while they are there. Thats what airport layovers are for....
Try the gopokemon site for updates. Some people have already posted links to that site here, so its pretty easy to get to.
