(Un)Official Worlds Thread

We have a new feature at this year's Worlds. We will have a "Featured Match" each round being played on the Main Stage and being shown on the big screen.

The first match features the Masters Argentina National Champion Diego Cassiraga against the Finland National Champion Esa Juntunen.
^I hope that I can see this somewhere...

hope the first round standings will be up in the middle of round2 or soemthing like itwas back in 06, that when i last watched the coverage.... as i played in the last 2
 
@NEMARK: Featured matches are something that a lot of games do, and I'm hoping that it will eventually lead to these matches (and other matches/facets of the tournaments) being recorded and/or streamed live on the internet.

Also, is the Tyler N. that won Grinders in the Masters division from the NW? If so, big ups Tyler.

A little lacking? A LITTLE LACKING?! The main POP site is NEVER a little lacking.

The 2nd round has started and the 1st round standings still aren't up. That's a bit more than a "little" lacking. It's not very nice to those of us outside of San Diego.
 
@KazamBolt: Ah, c'mon. Considering they're running a huge, free event with tons of prizes and who-knows-how-many manpower hours involved, I think we should cut them a little slack. This is the biggest event/celebration in our community, let's stay positive!
 
Patience, Patience... The results will start flowing to the web site.

They were trying to upload all three age groups at the same time. The groups got out of sync and then there was a minor computer problem to deal with.
 
Yeah. I just thought they would have someone working on this kinda stuff. They've been running this for a long time and I thought they'd have a system.

They have a system, but it seems to be a different one each year. Technology is great when it works, horrible when it doesn't.

Ok. We are on a lunch break until 1:15pm. The computer guys have figured out the problem so standings should be up before we get back.
 
Did someone mention that Yamato was playing today? So one person in masters didn't make it?
