Unknown G VS Nidoking

If I have unknown G attatched to my active pokemon and my opponent uses Nidoking's Poison Rub attack on one of my benched pokemon, would the attack succeed??? The reason that I am asking is because you have to affect the active pokemon when switching it with the benched pokemon. Thanks!

Unown G prevents all effects of attacks except damage. You can neither switch nor poison a Pokemon protected by Unown G.
