In the route just past Lenora's gym (Outside Pinwheel Forest) there are lots of Fighting-types. If you can get a Throh, it makes her ridiculously easy. Well, except for the first turn her Watchog is out. Retaliation kills anything that doesn't have Sturdy. :/

Definitely agree here. I got Sawk there and actually Throh and Sawk is a good one to have through out the game so far. In fact my Sawk is about to be my first one to level 40 cause I used him so much. Those fighting moves seem to move the game along a whole lot easier.

I love the game. But I have to say this seeing how no one else has spoken of it. YOU CAN USE TM MACHINES AS MUCH AS YOU WANT JUST LIKE HM MACHINES OH MY WORD THAT IS BROKEN!. LET ME REPEAT MYSELF YOU CAN USE TM. MACHINES AS MUCH AS YOU WANT !!. Well I'm enjoying pokemon black can't wait for winter in the region. Trying to catch a drillbur thanks for the help person who posted that info. Gotta catch'em all now.
 
Season's change every month

Spring - Jan, May, Sept
Summer - Feb, June, Oct
Autumn - Mar, July, Nov
Winter - Apr, Aug, Dec

That way you don't have to wait up to 3 months to see Deerling change colour ;)
 
I have 4 badges and am currently in the Cold Storage in... whatever town this is... town where the 5th gym is. I have vowed to make it through the game without looking at any walkthroughs or pokedexes (like at Serebii). I don't battle competitively so I'm not too concerned or even really know about all those natures and training for certain things and stuff.

Anyway, my team thus far:
Lv 25 Blitzle male
Lv 26 Servine female
Lv 22 Munna female
LV 24 Tranquill male
Lv 25 Palpitoad female
Lv 30 Krokorok male

I'm a big fan of Krokorok I just hope it's not like Dragonite (except not being fully evolved he's actually good, unlike Dragonair for me never was useful until it evolved... had to be coddled) and won't evolve at level 55 or something ridiculous, I'm sure you all know when he'll evolve but please don't tell me haha
 
Luckily he's actually good, so I'mma stick with him. the two I'm not so sure about are Munna and Blitzle. Blitzle has ABSOLUTELY NO DEFENSE and yeah its cool that it learns electric and fire attacks, but I'm not sold on Blitzle yet. Munna is just kinda weak in general and I think needs to evolve.
 
Lemme see...just got done with gym 3 last night, using:

Dewott
Herdier
Drillbur (wasted 40 minutes to get this thing lol, wanted one that bad)
Sawk

I plan on ditching Pansear eventually, I just don't care for it much and I think there's bound to be better Fire ones out there. That and I don't want to waste a valuable fire stone to evolve an in-game use Pokemon. Shame that fire/grass Pokemon isn't available till the very end...last spot is an HM slave of course, currently one of them chipmunk things, but I plan on getting a more sturdier one later.

Biggest like so far? Reusable TMs, don't have to worry about saving them for only competitive Pokemon now :D
 
I WANT A DRILLBUR how do you catch those things? I've never even seen one yet and I'm in the 5th gym's city!
 
I think I might just go back and try to catch one, my buddy hasn't even started the game yet because he's waiting on one more paycheck to afford buying a DS and the game so I don't want to get too too far ahead of him haha

This is the best way to do it imo

1. Go to Wellspring cave (near the Daycare) or Twist Mountain if you got that far

2. Have plenty of Repel/Super Repel - you don't want to keep fighting randoms and it doesn't stop dust clouds appearing

3. Just run up and down until you get a dust cloud

4. Sometimes you get gems, but sooner or later you will run into Drillbur

I can't stay long guys. I'm not supposed to know much.

All I know is that Petilil is adorable and I just traded for a modest high-sp-atk one and i am so excited
