I start sableye
T1 sableye impersonate collector for 2 karp and a regice
end
your turn. You start tomb with an odish or a bell sprout on bench. You collector for an uxie, second tomb, and whichever you didnt start on your bench with (either odish or bell sprout) You play down the tomb and the odish/bell sprout then burn through as much of your hand as possible and use set up. get seven new cards. use them to their best ability then darkness grace with tomb and evolve your bellsprout in to a Weepinbell
T2 I drop regice regimove discard two karps you switch out one tomb for another. I collector for magikarp magikarp uxie.
If i have bts in hand with a gyarados (very likely) i drop it and evolve in to a gyarados. If i dont i keep it in hand burn the rest of my hand then set up. use whatever i get then I sableye impersonate VOLKNERS PHILOSPHY. discard my last karp and draw until i have six in hand. end

So now it's your turn. I have three karp discarded and most likely a gyarados benched as well as a six card hand to work with. You have... two tombs and a Weepinbell.
You bebe's for a victreebel.
you evolve, attatch.
attatch Q to spiritomb, retreat, sableye is stuck in active spot.

Corrections in Bold.

You guys do realize that Gyarados plays Warp energy right? And at this point, you no longer have a trainer lock making it really easy for Gyarados to get the OHKO on Victreebell. Just stop theorymoning everything and actually play it out.

Ok. You have a victreebel. I dare you to bring it up and end the trainer lock. Then i attach belt ssu my sableye or warp it back and start ohkoing every pokemon in your deck.

use them to their best ability then darkness grace with tomb and evolve your odish in to a gloom.

Setup 4-6 cards plus what I have on the bench, I can easily get at least 1 Victrebel + 1 Vileplume
T3 (just got the Victrebels yesterday but focused mostly on LuxChomp matchup) but if im getting a fresh hand, BTS, it was fun do better next match and try not to kill my resisstance.

I'd love to and hope to face many Gyrados in tournaments to come.

I don't want the debate (didn't know if argument was appropiate yet) to continue so agree to disagree for now. Hope to play your versions (and many Gyrados) in the near future.

not under trainer lock it doesn't.

2 flash bites +90= 110 last I checked. Is anyone Expert Belting this yet? of couse you have to do it before trainer lock but now your doing 50. 60-70 due to poision and a possible 90-110 with burn flips. I dunno how useful that is due to trainer lock though or maybe some cherrims for the same effect?

Well it's been awhile but i've returned from my journey/search for the Gyrados matchup and while i've moved on to other decks, matchups are as follows.

Gyrados - I'm not gonna lie it's not as easy a matchup as I presumed but still not as difficult as predicted. Without Dialga G, it's easy plain and simple. With it, I pick up my cards and go home.

VileGar - Pretty even actually it's kinda 50-50.

LuxChomp - Have I ever been more wrong in my life. I didn't stand a chance against all variants.

SableLock - ^

DialgaChomp - ^

GalladeSPread - *I lost to Gallade* this is when you know there's a problem, ^

Steelix - is just murder, call the cops.

Overall - I don't know what to say. Personally, I thought it looked great on paper when we went into matchups I don't no if it was me or what but SP's in general kill me *Gallade*
