The Championships for the Commonwealth of Virginia will be held at the Meadow Pavilion at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA. These are the grounds where Secretariat was born and the same area as our November, 2011 Regionals. Look for the "Meadow Pavilion" not the larger "Exhibit Hall" and you'll be at the right place! Registration is 8:30 until 9:30. For travelers, the nearby Best Western King's Quarters is offering a $42.99 room rate! Just call the hotel at (804) 876-3321 and ask for the "Pokémon Tournament Rate".
This post will be edited to include prize information, so stay tuned!

*Edit--Many, but not all, States organizers purchased Chessex dice for players to receive as an additional souvenir of the event. Mine have arrived. They are blue and sparkly..

I don't know if this is allowed, but I didn't see anything that said that I couldn't post it.

Anyone have 3 Catchers that I can borrow/trade for at States? I had them coming in the mail, but they may be lost.

No prereg needed. Be there at 8:30 (9:30 is when the "lates" start rolling out.)

Edit: the venue management suggests that everyone look for "Gate 2" along Dawn Blvd and pull in there to reach the parking immediately adjacent to the Pavilion.

The online access to pairings was beautiful. Got to spend my day laughing with small kids and their parents. Gave Zero penalties in Juniors and I got to test play against the adorable little 4th place champ Sierra at the end of the event :)
Good Times. :)

You even got to see the Emolga Full Art from Shiny Collection!

I also had a girl in Juniors convinced that I was a Psychic because I kept "predicting" which table I was going to sit at.

Thanks Dave and Staff for a great event! What a smooth tournament it was great working with all the other staff especially working under Tim C as Head Judge! I look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday at Maryland States.
