Whew, 6 (!) Battle Roads later---dunno about you guys, but I am tired!!!! Congrats to all the players who did well, all the new players who had a good time at their first Pokémon events, and to those vet players who keep coming back just cause you LOVE this game! Thanks to all my judges, and of course, Pam--you are the best people in the world to work with!
I gotta say I loved the way the VM cards spread out here. IIRC, we had 6 unique juniors and 6 unique masters win these here. Arron and Patrick were the only two to grab more than one of these with 2 each but they're in great company with Steven and Pachi.
Not much time to rest, because it's looking like a Stormfront is heading toward Virginia soon!! Get ready Fairfax and Warrenton--the storm will hit you first!!
I'll get photos up in the usual place asap--remember I didn't have my camera for the first two BRs (Warrenton and Woodbridge) so if anyone has any .jpgs of those two (ahem, Shadow Card) please send em my way.

About preregistration lists: I know this may apply to people who don't visit here, but I also know it does apply to some reading here. If you preregister and later find out you cannot come, you need to call the store and have your name removed. Call/PM/e-mail me if you have to (for a Fairfax event). If you do not, continual abuse of the preregistration list will result in discontinuing your ability to preregister for Fairfax events, even if you do show up on time (you will have to enter the tournament as a walk-in). This applies to other events as well: if I hear from a TO that you are abusing his preregistration list, you will no longer be allowed to preregister at Fairfax. That may sound mean, but adding your name to an event you cannot attend complicates and prolongs registration as well as prevents other people from playing. We do preregistration to avoid first-come-first-serve. I don't want people to have to camp out in front of a store in order to ensure they play in the event.
(No, none of you are going to convince me to drive down to Midlothian on a Friday night to camp out on totoro's lawn)

As a rule, I try not to put event schedules up here until they are on the go-pokemon.com site But since I've already mentioned it here, the first weekend of prereleases will be Saturday Oct 25 in Fairfax (2 flights as usual) and
Sunday Oct26 in Warrenton (they had such an awesome turnout for the BR, they really deserved this!)
CCs are still very much up in the air--I have absolutely no idea if I'm running 1 or 100!

thank you. It just shows if you stick with a deck, find the weakness, try to take it away, you can win. It is also the first time I played 1 deck for every event in the season so far.
@totoro: the more cities the better.

And the second game was over in what seemed like a blink of the eye. Goob Job to all of the BR players espically Rogue who over the course of the VA BRs worked his way up to Second when it was over and done with. :thumb:

Congrats to thouse who won in Midlothian, and to thouse who played red face paint. I wasn't able to go because I had something going on. Fortuanatly it was right next to Dream Wizards, so I went to the Rockville BR's. I made 2nd. I was using SpeedZone, which basicly means 5 Starter MagneVire. The finals were so intense, it was this kid who had never top cutted before, who beat L.J. (is that his name?) in T4. He was using some really wierd Kingdra/Empoleon/Kyogre deck, and a lot of burn cards like PokeDex and Unown R (o_0), and our first game took 55 Mintues and he won by putting me in a position where no matter what, Kingdra or Empoleon could take the last prize card. Second Game I played furiously and Palkia Lv.X won it for me when time was called. So yeah... Magnezone Vs. Kingdra/Empoleon in Sudden Death. It lasted more than 10 turns, both of us not drawing what we need. You can read more about my Rockville exprience on Pokebeach... for thouse that go there.
I would be really happy if we got a CC in Dale City, it's 5 mintues away from my house, compared to the 45 minute trek to Hobbyworks, and then even longer for almost anywhere else. Woodbridge isn't so bad, but recently a lot are on Sunday and I can't go on Sunday, period.
