I've been a lurker for a long while and thought I would finally ask for help. I just started playing the TCG this past month after collecting for years. After playing this deck a few times at open league, I feel like it could use some tweaks. I was thinking:

-1 LugiaEX (I realized that 4 energy for an extra prize card was not really worth it as in all the matches i've played, this has only helped me twice. 1 against a flareon deck and 1 just because I had it powered up and they ohko'd my genesect)
+1 MewtwoEX (xball, powered up with virizion if needed)

-1 Suicune (I thought I would see a ton more ex's in league play, but not that many are actually there. About a 50/50 split)
+1 Munna (Boundaries crossed - 50% (I guess it's 2 dice rolls so 25%) to not be attacked while I can't be affected by sleep with virizion's ability)

-2 Skyarrow Bridge (It helps)
+2 Frozen City (I thought this would be better with the amount of energy transfers/adds going on with blastoise decks and fairy decks)

I would like to change some of my trainers around, but not sure which ones I should lower/drop or which ones I should add.

2 virizionEX
3 GenesectEX
1 LugiaEX
1 Suicune (Safeguard Abil.)

4 Skyla
4 Professor Sycamore
1 Shauna
4 Shadow Triad
3 Colress Machine
2 Switch
2 Tool Scrapper
2 Muscle Band
2 Team Plasma Ball
3 Energy Switch
3 Red Card
3 Professors Letter
3 Ultra Ball
1 G Booster
2 Skyarrow Bridge

10 Grass energy
4 Plasma Energy

any help would be appreciated. Especially with my first 6-card tourny coming at the end of the month.

EDIT: I'll give out some XY TCGO codes to users for helpful deck suggestions that I end up using.

I would defiantly add in 1 or more copies of mewtwo since it's a great attacker since it has a cheap and effective attack unlike genesect which costs 3 energies to use and virizion which attack is practically useless late game. Mewtwo is a great back up attacker, if you want to focus heavily on mewtwo then I would consider running 2-3 DCEs since they work well with g-booster and can speed up the use of x ball.

I wouldn't run munna since it's too flippy and can be a liability against the mirror match. I find mr mime to be a better tech inclusion since it helps against darkrai, kyurem and genesect and it doesn't decrease consistency against the mirror. It's also nice to run at least one non-ex just to be able to sacrifice it to be able to buy a turn against a deck that aims to 1HKO all your pokemon, for example, blastoise or rayboar.

I can't really say what you should add, except maybe a single Team Plasma Badge to speed up Virizion, but what I can say, is that Red Card should be removed completely.

Red Card just doesn't do anything; out of a 4 card hand (+1 more when they start their turn) they're likely to draw a Supporter, making Red Card pointless. Even if they don't, 5 cards isn't exactly going to disrupt the opponent either (people play Shauna for 5). N does a much better job at disruption and doubles as draw power.

I'd probably tweak the following, if you have the cards for it:

-1 Lugia ex
-1 Suicune ex
+2 Virizion ex (essential starter)
+1/1 Roselia/Roserade (the search can be really nice, but these last 2 slots are open to just about any techs you may want to try, x2 deoxys for genesect bonus dmg, 1-1 eevee/leafeon vs decks that hoard energy like xerneas/yveltal, or even x2 bouffalant if you face a lot of ex's and want to get ahead in prize trades (50 from a virizion into a 120 from bouffalant is fairly easy to achieve, and with energy switch and a plasma on genesect it counters even a retreat.)

-2 Skyla
-3 Red Card
-3 Professor's Letter (you should be getting energy through virizion after setup and attaching plasmas to get KOs as often as possible)
-2 Shadow Triad (4 is a bit heavy, I only run about 1)
-2 Team Plasma Ball

+3 N
+2 Colress
+1 Shauna
+1 Random Receiver
+1 Super Rod
+3 Enhanced Hammer (I personally love abusing these with smart Red Signal pulls - can even buy you time to stall in certain situations)

+1 Max Potion OR an additional trainer/supporter of any in your list that you feel is essential, perhaps even use this slot to tech in 1 more basic pokemon.

If you really enjoy playing colress machine (I personally opt not to and the changes I suggest usually benefit using plasmas with red signal rather than just for speed) you could also throw in 2-3 team plasma badge to potentially setup quickly - use them in place of enhanced hammer.)

Hope this gives you some alternate ideas to test with!
