Voltage shoot-Knock out.

This might be answered somewhere, but I can't easily find it...
If I level up Raichu Stormfront into the lv X, and use voltage shoot to knock out the defending pokemon, does my opponent promote a new active before I use my second attack? enabling me to use an attack like burst ball which only hits the active. Or am I forced to use voltage shoot again since that is the only attack that can hit the bench.

Actually, you can very easily find it. Go to the Conmpendium LxX (LINK), scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find an index of hot links, click on Link Lightning and you will see the answer.
