Meg45: Ray does beat this for the reasons YoungJohn and ToysRUsKid said. I cant convince you by words so maybe I will do....PRETEND BATTLE of BAR vs Wailord ex stall deck! I'll even let you go first and give you a decent hand. Your hand: Wailmer Wailord ex 3 Water nrg Root fossil Claw Fossil Oak's Research. My hand: Dunsparce Oak's Research and a couple nrg. You put root fossil active and I have dunsparce active.
Your turn: nrg to wailmer, pass.
My turn: nrg to dunsparce, SARS for 3 basics, oaks research blah blah.
Your turn: evolve wailmer to wailord ex, attach nrg, pass.
My turn: play some trainers, evolve a couple pokes, yadadada.
Your turn: nrg to wailord ex, pass.
My turn: a couple more pokes evolve, play nrg, trainers, blahblah.
Your turn: nrg to wailord ex, so now you have enough to attack, but youll probably stall and keep root fossil active.
My turn: evolve some more, put blaziken active, KO root fossil
Your turn: You have the choice to KO my blaziken with Wailord ex, or put another fossil active. I'll say you KO me with wailord ex.
My turn: I put Rayquaza ex active and KO your wailord ex. Now the prizes are 4-5 in my favor. I could let you leave a fossil active until time runs out and I'll win with more prizes collected. But I'll prolly leave Rayquaza active and keep KOing fossils, and I doubt you will get 4 more nrg on another wailord ex by then. Even if you do, I'll have another Rayquaza ready for that.
So....I tried to make my point. Maybe you will see it my way? =(

I think shaman might be good in this deck to combat the mulligans. As far as the big damage, so what! He plays 12 healing trainers(4 potion, 4 moo moo, 4 oran) , can deep divee to clean off 30, and he has 3 nurse!
I hit for 140, he clears 70, hits me for 30(7 damage counters still on him), I hit for 80 he is paralyzed, he switches, then kills the fossil to bring up wailord, clears 70, hits me for 20(8 damage counters on him). I then flip a heads and OHKO wailord. Simple math people, wailord does less damage for every single counter on him. Even if he was able to heal 70 a turn, against a ampharos EX doing a minimal of 80 and paralyzation and a maximum of 140(50/50), wailord is just fried chicken.

Rayquaza only needs one energy to OHKO any fossil. I'd like to see it up there and you keep sending up fossils and they keep dieing. Then they hit the bench with 10 with blaziken, and switch for rayquaza and kill your fossils. Then when wailord comes out, it does 90, almost KOing rayquaza and rayquaza OHKO's wailord by discarding 5 energy. Come'on it isn't that hard, especially when you give them all the time in the world to power up their bench by have no offense.

Jermy are you saying you could have a Blaziken up like turn 4 and a Rayquaza up turn 5 doing 200, highly unlikely unless u get all blazes out turn 3 or so.

I think their matches are about even. I guess you could say this deck was like the Beedrill/Arcanine thing in the old format but completely opposite, Beedrill/Arcanine looooked great on paper, but it played poorly. But this looks bad on paper, but it plays wonderfuly.

So ya I've played against it with Ampharos and lost, and I consider myself a pretty good player.

6 nrg by turn 5 is a pretty good chance....but even if I dont have 6 by turn 5. Say I just leave my sparce active and just let his fossil sit there. The longer I sit there the more chance I have of winning. He would eventually have to discard his active fossil to attack with Wailord ex and KO my dunsparce, then I ko his wailord ex with rayquaza. So I have prize advantage. So I dunno I dont get how this deck has a chance against any Rayquaza deck, even with the crystal shards.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooobbuffet! A Wobbuffet gives me a way to wrack up damage and block your attacks. The best you can do to counter is burn a Wailmer. This then gives me something low enough the average big hitter can OHKO. And you know I ahve to bring up Gojira decks. SS Xatus on the bench would let a Ffet laugh of Wailmer more or less. I also favor decks like Steelix or Aggron ex accompanied by Xatus (yeah, more Gojira decks). Widesrpead damage while being able to soak up what Wailord ex does appears to be a serious problem. Plus, most of the healing trainers look weak. Pokemon Nurse is great, but strips you of Energy. Moo-moo Milk, Potion, and Oran Berry? At least use Lum so that you don't have to worry about getting stuck out via Sleep or Paralysis. It's not a bad concept, but I think it works better when it's Wailord ex/Xatu (but of course I might be just a teensy bit biased). ;)

Could you use xatu to heal a fossil, if so, they might work perfectly in the same deck.

Well you said you would be attacking with Blaziken turn 3 and ko the Fossil, then Wailord Kills that and then you would kill the Wailord with Rayquaza. Thats like 9 energy, not including what u attached to Dunsparce.

He could always start attacking u with Wailmer also. SO you would have to bring up Rayquaza if u wanted to get a prize as Blaze cant OHKO it. And if you bring up Ampharos he can KO that and that would ruin ur whole strategy because you play no switch in BAR. And a Blaze/Ray would have a disadvantage as it his no electricity at all.

Anyway wth is a Gojira?

Dude colin if he was charging up a wailmer there would be no wailord ex on the bench ready to kill me! He takes 4 turns to power up! So thats 7 turns including powering up a wailmer and a wailord.
BTW what Mudkip said below, same goes for me :)

I'll play anyone using this deck ANYTIME, and I assure U I'd win 100% using BAR or Niniken. Doubt me? Play me. AIM or MSN or Apprentice or w/e, you name it.

Ditto that. E-mail me though at Youngjohn06 cause I am on aim privacy.

Hey Megs,

First off, this was a good and unique concept. I really liked the idea of using The fossils as a means to protect and power up. Very well done. Good thing I didnt battle ya at Windy City Comics

Anyhoo, call me crazy but i think Wally's Training could be useful for this deck, especially since you only have one evolution line (litteraly  ). From what i've see so far, it could make the deck run a little faster. I dont know what to take out, but it still would be pretty useful for the deck.

If you only have ONE evolution line, then why not use Fast Balls instead? Sure, it means that your opponent might see how your deck works, but it doesn't take up your Supporter for the turn.

PS- Swanton, Gojira - isn't that the proper pronunciation for the word which we know as Godzilla?

Fast Balls sound like a good idea to me.

Gojira compressed Japanese slang for "gorilla-whale", and is indeed what we call Godzilla. I made a deck around healing Expedition Tyranitar that used Healing Fields and Aquapolis Espeon to bounce Potion Energies off of it for healing. That was the original one for Neon modified. When Sandstorm came out, I realized that Xatu could do a better job even than Espeon and Healing Fields. I also realized that I can stick a bunch of different things in there, like Aggro ex, Wailord ex, Aquapolis Nidoking, SS Steelix. I refer to them all as Gojira for convenience, much as all Basic Beatdown decks are referred to as Haymakers despite a lack of base Hitmonchan (whose Special Punch is named Haymaker in Japan).

I really think you should add in like 2 wailords what will you be able to do when you see wobby move out WAILORD EX AND DO NOTHING! so add in some wailord lol.

Oh yeah fast Balls would be awesome you would alway's be getting a wailord ex or if you put in some wailord than maybe you would get wailord so add Fast balls they would be awesome.
