Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Wash State Championships March 5, 2005

Sounds cool, hopefully I can make it. Yeah, I am going to be running something crazy once again, (just wish I could playtest it first =/) but I think this is my best one yet. Anyway, hope to see everyone there.

Is that saying something?
 Mean! Yeah actually, I don't know if it is saying much, lol. At least I know your not getting first since I will be there.

No we can't let you break the curse Ross, the curse still must live. Can't wait to see your deck James and see if it is actually your best deck yet.

It's not like it's impressive, it is just a small part of the deck that I thought was neat. I've been changing it so much lately though might turn out messed up. =/

well, next weekend it the day we have been waiting for! I am so exited,I am gonna play my first red face paint deck of the R/S on block! woo hoo!

In response to wolf's sig.

We've been hacking the japanese boards for months, apparently their super secret deck is *static*

Anyway, see you guys at the tourney.

Yeah, it's official. Me and Mike P. will be judging. I don't know right now if Terry got any other judges. And Terry, how about a GBA tournament for one of the side events? I'm working on typing out rules for it right now. I sent Paul a copy of what I got so far to see what he thinks. So how about it Terry? I'm sure you got plenty of the link cables. If not, then we can do Fire Red and Leaf Green games only, and players must bring their own wireless adapter.

Its too bad i probably wont be there. Well, I hope somebody can beat paul...we wouldn't like another States monopoly incedent...GL Ross, GJ, APT, And Wolf...paul...meh, do ya really need it?

I can beat him....I've done it like 3 times before. 1 time with Aqua, another time with Crobys, and 3rd time in a mirror match with draggy. He's not entirely unbeatable, but I admit he is good. He pushes me to my limits all the time.

And how many times has he beaten you? 1... 2, carry the 9 oh yeah like a million times lol. Now if I were in the 15 up age division Paul wouldn't win. He's obviously the worst player in the world. I mean he lost on the first turn to Tyler! Dunsparce he sets out Tyler goes first. Attaches (F) energy to Larvitar. Fury Swipes 3 heads game. LOL.

I never said he was unbeatable..I merely said that i hope that someone else can win a states, =p lol, Ya, GL DLM, as well..And paul too, i guess.... ;)

I sorta don't need good luck for States. I'm not playing. I'm judging. LOL. Yeah that has got to be the worst luck any one can get. Sure he has beaten me a whole slew of times, but I have beaten him with some pretty weak and pathetic decks. I mean usually Magma owns Crobyss, but I beat his Magma with it.

Seth, can you send me the rules you have for a GBA side event. Alex would love to enter that. This is Debbie (psychicmaniac) in case you didn't know. Thanks.

Here are the rules for the GBA tournament. These are test rules, due to change after states before I officially post them on my website.

Pokemon GBA Tournament Rules:

1. Level 70 and lower.

2. Ruby/Sapphire - Fire Red/Leaf Green only. (No Emerald)

3. English cartridges only

4. Kyogre, Groudon, Mewtwo, Mew, Celebi, Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Regirock, Registeel, Regice, Lugia, and Ho-oh are banned.

5. No modified cartridges are allowed, meaning Game Shark, Action Replay, etc. It’s not that hard to tell.

6. You can not use more than 1 of the same Pokemon.

7. Deoxys, Jirachi, Latias/Latios are all on probation. Any problems with them and they will be banned, no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it.

8. You can not have more than one Pokemon with the same item attached.

Qualifying rounds: 3 Pokemon teams, following the rules above. All players play through 4 rounds, then cut to the top X (depending on the overall number of people participating)

Finals: 6 Pokemon teams, following rules above.

During registration, your cartridges will be checked, (have your teams selected so they can be checked as well). Any cartridges found to be modified or hacked will be disqualified. If your teams do not follow the rules above, you will be asked to fix it.

Before finals, any one who makes the top cut, you will be asked to submit your cartridges to be checked. Any cartridges found to be hacked, will be disqualified. Any teams not following the rules above, will also be disqualified.

All are free to enter, free of charge. I guess we can call this the GBA championships. I haven't decided anything in the way of prizes just yet.
