Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Washington State Championships March 19, 2011

As a canadian rolling in by train, what would you suggest is the best hotel to stay friday/saturday, in terms of price/distance.

The Courtyard by Marriott at 1515 Commerce Street, Tacoma, WA is right across the street from the Convention Center. It is also on the light-rail line from the Tacoma Dome. The Tacoma Dome station is 3 or 4 blocks from the Amtrak station, where the train from BC would drop you. There are other hotels within a block or two as well.

Here is the light-rail map:

The LINK is free, but stops running after 10 PM, so if you make the finals, so you might have to beg a ride back to the Tacoma Dome.

Got enough smilies, bro?

Dang... I cannot wait for states.

But seriously, let's get some discussion going on here!

I wonder what will be played in Srs.

I'm confirmed for States as long as Jimbo is willing to take me from Spokane. I'll pay my way there. My deck's been itching to break out of its box and make a run for it. I hope that it just doesn't snow for Spring Break. :eek:

Jerin and I will be there and OR for sure.

Now if I could only decide which stupid Gigas list to use...

^
Yeah, that stinks you can't go, man.

I'm so psyched for this event. This will be my first tourny higher than CC's - it's gonna be awesome.

@Cetra: What variants are there to choose from? I'm not asking for lists, of course, but just the general idea of each.

@Jaron: Just don't use Gigas!

@Samwise: Come?

@Isaiah: #bsidewinsjapanesemerchbutnotanactualtournament

Can't wait. :D

I know, this will be your first ever toruney to last longet then 3 rounds of swiss play.

@Jeff: Nah, I went to the Seattle CC's which had 4 rounds of Swiss.

My achievements so far:
2nd Place UD Booster Draft - 2-1 Swiss
2nd Place Lynnwood BR - 2-1 Swiss
2nd Place TR Booster Draft - 1-2 Swiss (lolz, and still got 2nd...)
2nd Place Seattle CC's - 3-1 Swiss

Second winner or first loser?

But seriously... I hope I do better lolz.

haha bring a sammich bro!

States are cool, especially if you have a crew. ^ ^

@Kenny: It's possible, the family event was moved to the FRIDAY before, but still super unlikely. I would basically have to get up at 4 and start driving at 5 to make it on time.

Different list, same strategy.

And lol Kenny it just wouldn't be a pokemon tournament without Regigigas :D

Well hopefully the snow we just got will be gone... and you are more than welcome to hitch a ride... we have at least 2 cars heading over.... I am still on the fence for what deck to play though... ahhh !
