We Have A Stalker

There's this person, who keeps calling our house like 6 times per day (one for every hour), and we try to not pick up the phone. It all started since Saturday, which was a couple days ago. One day, he called our house at like 1 am in the morning and I was sound asleep at that moment. I have no idea what the person wants from us, and the caller ID keeps sayinig "Unown Caller".

Do you guys know if there is a way to block a certain number from a person?
 
i think you can block specific numbers... but i mean my house phone rings like 15 times a day and it says unknown caller... have you ever picked up the phone? an inside joke of mine would be to move to chicago(girl stole my number, called and texted me, told her i moved to chicago) but yeah if you really think this person is a "stalker" im sure your phone company can block the number.

Hmm, do you have any clue to what the number is? Cause if you do, I think you can just call up your phone company and tell them to block it.

But yeah, stalkers are no good. They're like people who follow you and stuffs. No good. Like feeding chocolate to your dog. :D
 
Well, to tell you the truth. It was a guy that I use to go with in High School (Special needs), very lonely kid that has nothing in his life. He's alway's desperate to do stuff with me, but the thing about this guy is he is annoying, monopolizes the conversations, and is constantly calling me up to play that stupid Animal Crossing game with him. Also, he lives 40 minutes away from where I live and the only reason I hung out with that guy once was because I felt bad for him that people were not patient with him because of the way he is. And when he came over to my house one day, I paid a very hefty price. Once he starts calling, theres no stopping him. And that's why I want to block him, we have nothing in common, and we live too far away.


Just trying to get the facts straight and explain to you guys what my situaton is like.

your phone company gives your home a line a "*81" (i hear that it is different in all the phone line comp providers) you activate it by punching in the "*-#" and it will block the "blocked call" by saying that the person needs to unblock there call-and your id will block it but you can look in your local phone book/yellow pages that have the instructions to deal with these issues.....
 
File a police report. If you think you know who it is, tell them and they will investigate. Its best to treat these things properly from the get go so that if it starts to escalate, there will be a paper trail and you will be able to generate some action quickly. Don't wait until you start getting followed or your property or house is damaged. Or worse.

wow. i understand you to a certain extent because i feel bad for people sometimes. i have a couple friends that sometimes i feel like telling to get a life because they call me constantly but thats not nearly as bad as your sitiation cuz thier actually my friends. if it continues and you dont want to bother blocking him or changing your number just have somebody whos voice he wont recognize answer the phone and tell him that whoever he's calling for doesn't live there. might work
 
If you can get the number, you can report it to the police. They will take care of the rest for you.
 
If this guy is really that annoying and well frankly, weird, then just call the police. Like DP said, they'll take it from there.
 
OR you could be inviting to him and welcome his 6 calls a day/ every hour and he would no longer be a stalker. lol Have you talked to this guy about it? Just say something suttle and hope for the best before involving the cops.
 
Hate bein "that guy" but I dont think mentally challenged people pick up on subtle signals. You've really been placed in a bad position. Don't know what to say

No, don't do that. Beating around the bush won't solve this problem. You need to talk about it frankly and honestly and then call the cops if that doesn't work.
 
If you know for sure it's this guy then you can contact him.
If he is special needs, chances are he has a guardian or lives with his parents
Perhaps you should try and contact someone who has influence over him?

Lol.

Just an idea but if they have S.Needs they are bound to have a parent or guardian you can speak to. They will prob understand and get it sorted out.
 
I had this once on my cell phone at 1 am in the morning and they left a message too- it was really really weird.
