Weavile G

The Ralts

I was looking over the new cards in PT, and thought about weavile G. 2 energy (with energy gain. Everyone would play four of them) for 60 damage with a full bench, plus a special dark usually. So thats about the same damage as toxicroak, but not so reliant on powers, and gives more space for other cards since you don't need to play so many stadiums.

Free retreat, resistance to psychic. More space than toxicroak for different things.

Only 80 HP, but that seems like the only bad thing. It's not hard to keep a full bench with all the cards we have in the format, and if you play down the one uxie or so that's played in the deck you can just shuffle it in.
Would be near auto-losses to machamp and rampardos. Maybe a...a...I dunno, guess you'd just be screwed...
Hopefully not many people would play either of those, since they both fail to pretty much every other deck.
Now that i think about it, it's also bad against kingdra. Since they can just do twenty to a benched weavile and then kill it when it comes up.

It seems about as decent as toxicroak, but the 10 HP might be the one thing that makes it a fluke. If you ran enough snowpoint to make it common to draw into, you might as well just play toxicroak.

Wut u guyz say?

Actually it does 70 damage as the attack says "Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each pokemon sp you have in play" therefore you count Weavile G too.

toxicroak>weavile. toxicroak has an unown G body which lets you play energy gain on it without having to worry about champ/anything. it has a better type (much more things weak to psych than to dark) and it inflicts a special condition. plus, weavile gets owned by dusknoir =P

The one thing weavile would have over toxicroak seems like would be its type...
Ability to kill giratinas, and how would it be bad against dusknoir? they get one turn of 1 shotting anything before you K.O 'em.
And oops, Roderick's right. I had read that before I posted this, but I guess I was feeling a little tired when I finally got around to it.

Buuuuut now that I've had more time to think about the card, toxicroak is definitely better. Honchkrow is in the deck for dark-weak things anyway.

Weavile is a goos starter, and terrible otherwise. Toxicroak does 60 for less energy, and unlike Weavile its damage level isn't hampered by having non SP bench pokemon on your bench. That and Dusknoir/Palkia G Lv X kinda make is damage potential terrbiel.

Weavile so far appears to only be good in pure SP decks... which to put it bluntly are terrible thus far due to their low damage and limited utility outside of quick damage and a silly power lock.

In short, he's not worth being an attacker.

SP Decks are not terrible. They can match Kingdra in speed and hit Machamp for up to 120.

So they match a Stage Two in speed and hit a terrible deck for 120.
Is this supposed to be remotely impressive?

lol
You described two donk decks. Any non-fighting deck should beat machamp if it doesn't get donked.

Uxie has a pretty similar effect on Machamp too. 50 damage minimum for 1 is nice. Uxie X does 90 minimum for TWO.
