And with this matter swiftly resolved, XIX continues forward.

3 spots remain, lets get them filled and get this game going! I know I'm excited for the return of Absoltrainer as a Mod/Narrator.

I was expecting this game to be filled up by now, the fact that there is still 3 slots left put a bit of a hitch in my plan.

June 6 - June 9 I have to be somewhere. While I MIGHT have some internet, it's a safer bet to assume I will have none. Originally I was planning to have sign-ups done by now, and have sent out roles so that everyone had 4 days to confirm their role while I was gone and then start the game on June 10. Since sign-ups are not filled, this won't happen. Hopefully 3 more people will be interested by the time I get back and I can get roles sent out and start the game as soon as possible

July 4th - 8th: Pokémon TCG Nationals
Since many of our players will be traveling to play in Nationals this year, this will be a break period. Accounting for travel time one day in each direction, depending on what phase of the game is going on, these days might change plus or minus one day.

July 27th - August 10th
I will be away during this time and will have no internet or if I do it will be very, very, very limited. During this time, roles will be sent to Cabd who will also be doing the day and night updates in my absence . I will take back over when I return. Don't worry about this now. When this date approaches I will re-post this information and remind everyone.

Other notes:
I will most likely be lowering the Game Night length from 5 days (which is too long) to a lower number, probably 3 days, though this is not concrete. I will have a definite answer before the game begins

3 more slots, let's get these slots filled!
Thank you.

You are going to have to make that 4 slots :( I have a major qualification at work that I need to acquire that will involve my full attention. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I guess ill play but will be busy at times in july and some wont have internet access so yeah. Ill fo my best

I be overseas for a month starti g 27 june. Return july 28. Ill be in singapore uk and thr phillipines

Stand by. It'll start when absol is ready with all his stuff. It's not exactly effortless on the game mod's side.

Many of you have been wondering why there has been a delay in the start of this game. The delay was due to several issues that I was addressing. I have spent the last week speaking to many people and the result is this post.

Werewolf players, fans, and fellow "game" mods. It has come to my attention that the Pokegym Staff no longer supports Werewolf on the Gym, and I can only assume our removal is inevitable. In order to be allowed to keep hosting, I would have to compromise my values and integrity. I cannot do that. What is worse is that despite being a contributing member since 2006, with almost 8,000 posts on this site, and less than 20 infractions since I joined 7 years ago, I have been treated as little more than trouble making troll for trying to help. As such, I will be canceling my current game here on the Gym. Furthermore, I will no longer be hosting or playing in Werewolf games on the Pokegym. I can no longer work or play in this environment and as such it is time for me to move on.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Pokegym Werewolf and played in my games. It is with great disappointment that it has come to this and if I saw an alternative, I would be working on it, but unfortunately I have been left with only this option.

Good Bye

Hey guys. I’m going to piggy-back on Absol’s post a little here.

I’m announcing my retirement at large from forum Werewolf.

I’m busy. Really Busy. I’m in my third year in dental school. I’m seeing patients every day and no longer have the time I once had. Eight years is a long time. I was just graduating from High School when Gym Werewolf began in 2006. The amount of time I’ve been able to dedicate to personal activities has steadily decreased. Thus I hardly have time to play anymore, much less be a leader in this community.

However this is not the reason for my retirement.

Through the past 7 years Cardz, Absol, Ikrit and I have poured hundreds of hours into Werewolf. We’ve sacrificed and served the community, providing structure and organization to this great game. I personally have hosted one game myself, as well as participating in almost every single game here on the Gym. I have also spent countless hours pouring over data pertaining to Werewolf (see the Metagame analysis thread) as well as coming up with organization for the continued running of Werewolf here (Moderation guidelines as well as Balance committee).

Through these actions, I have attempted to assist the community in creating balanced games that are fair and fun for all involved. Through this, I (and we) have acted alone in our creation of said guidelines and resources for Werewolf. However I have been told that some of the administration of the forum has requested me and my compatriots to change the way we run our games. After no assistance or guidance (even after visible arguments that could have been handled as a group), the administration wishes to exert control over certain aspects of the game.

Now I certainly agree that the Gym administration is completely within their rights in running Werewolf. I have no qualms or hesitations in turning over the game to them. However outright reversing decisions that have already been made about in-game actions, without accepting the responsibility and the actions that are required of that decision is not helpful.

As someone who strongly supported Werewolf on the Gym, I cannot continue to pour out my time into assisting running Werewolf without any cooperative assistance from the Moderators and Administration, while they simultaneously micro-manage our direction of this game.

Werewolf is a game. I have continually said this. However when players act inappropriately action must be taken. When these actions are within the Gym rules, but outside of sportsmanship and fair play, I chose to hold players accountable for their actions. This has caused consternation.

Thus. I am choosing to end my career of Forum Werewolf. The Gym is and will always be my Werewolf home, and I have met and made friends with many people through it who I would never have done so otherwise. I cherish the memories that I’ve made. I’m dropping the load I’ve shouldered for these past years.

This by no means cancels Werewolf on the Gym. But from my experiences here in recent years I cannot continue to support the presence of Werewolf on these forums. Absol, Ikrit, and myself support Werewolf moving to a location other than the Gym.

It has been a great 9 years since I joined the Gym, and I do not regret it. I had a lot of fun here.

I would like to add my thoughts as well.

I personally support the movement of all werewolf related activities to a different site, 6p. It has become evident from recent interactions with the governing body of pokegym, that it is not possible that we can continue hosting meaningful werewolf games on this forum.

I am saddened by this fact, and had been fighting to prevent it from occurring. I have feared this moment for quite some time and I am convinced that it has come.

WW on they gym has operated almost independently from the gym for several years. This was not because the werewolf community wanted it that way, but because the gym wanted it that way. They decided to let us play our game in our sandbox.

Recently the gym has begun to attempt to take this governing action into their own hands. This would be wonderful, except that the decisions they have made have been without knowledge and without counsel. They have imparted their will with questionable if extant references to rules. They are increasingly meddling in werewolf affairs in ways that intrinsically and devastatingly hinder the play of the game itself. I do not doubt, with the attitude and statements that I have publicly received referencing werewolf from the modding community on numerous occasions, that they themselves are considering the removal of werewolf.

With their current track record of making decisions without knowing the correct context, I cannot recommend that werewolf continue on the gym.

I fear for the future of the gym itself if this leadership continues to act as it has been.

So wait, what exactly happened? I'm extremely confused as to why the Pokegym staff are no longer supporting Werewolf...

If I had to guess, I'd guess it had something to do with the staff not being ok with the punishments that were handed out after last game due to the people who were punished not breaking any Gym rules.
