it has better synergy with emboar b/c you can attach the energies to anything including lanturn with emboar and it gives you fire,lightning and water types at you disposal other than just lightning and water. with feraligater also to attach the energies to lantrun you have to change its type to water which may not be what you always want to do.

What cards go well with Lanturn Prime from Hs Unleashed.

It goes well with Ampharos (Prime) and Raichu (Prime). There's good synergy because they're all Lightning type, so the color scheme will look nice and consistent in your binder...

In all seriousness, if you actually build a fun deck with it, do what has already been suggested in this thread and pair it with either Feraligatr (Prime) or Emboar. Lanturn needs energy acceleration to survive, and it's real job is just to kill Yanmega, Donphan, Reshiram etc. in one shot.

Lanturn/Emboar/RDL is definitely a hardcore deck, especially if you abuse Shuckle - which is an incredible card with Emboar, at least until Catcher comes out.
