Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

what is the BDIF

HeartSilver?

Anyway, statistically the deck that has fared the best in States (and is therefore considered BDIF generally) is LuxChomp. Other top decks include:

- CurseGar
- Plox
- Gyarados
- LuxPluff
- Other stuff

I think the strategy forum would actually be the best place for this thread, so I'll go ahead and move it there.

Deoxys hurt me with shuppet *sniff* back on topic its really just Luxchomp its by far won most states and imo is just the best deck

Lol, Shuppet is only good if you know what people will be playing.

If you're going to face a ton of Luxchomp's, and Cursegar's then. . . No.

If you're going to face a ton of Gyarados's, and Jumpluffs then. . . Yes.

Soon, after the rotation, there will probably be no more LuxChomp, and no more BDIF. It has just gotten to the point where all the originality is gone. But, it will all come flooding back once the rotation hits. Anyways, I begrudgingly admit that LuxChomp is probably the best... for now.

Luxchomp is probably the best. I tend to prefer Gyarados because it is more consistent and has a higher damage output. But, i cannot ignore that Luxchomp has one a lot of states so yeah, Luxchomp.

I think It's kind of interesting that luxchomp is BDIF. It takes skill, and a good list. You would think that something like shuppet or some other deck would be the play, but luxchomp is definitley BDIF even if it isn't the eaisest deck to play.

Sigh. LuxChomp is not overrated. It's just really consistent and really good. It was clearly the BDIF in States. There are counters and other good decks too that can regularly beat it, but none of that makes LuxChomp bad or overrated.

Luxchomp is good - as one of the first people to try it out, I'll admit that, but it IS overrated. The fact that there are basic SP counters to both Garchomp and Luxray is often overlooked.

All I have to say is this- When half or more of the players at S/P/Ts spammed the LuxChomp, how could it not win? Food for thought...

I've never really liked the idea that a deck is only good, or it only wins because a lot of people play it. The truth is that a lot of people play it because it's a good deck. A lot of people play themedecks too, but they don't win because they're terrible.

Anyway, I think LuxChomp has proven itself to be the best play for States. I also think Jumpluff and Gyarados are on the same/a similar level as LuxChomp, and then there are a few select decks just below that.

I think you misunderstood me. It is a very good deck and a good play, but there are other deck which are just as good and win that are played less frequently. That's what I meant by what I said. It's really hard to call it Best Deck in Format when there are better decks with less publicized lists. Take Sablelock for example...

Ah yeah, I wasn't so much talking as your post. More the people who were saying that it was overrated, but yeah, I get what you're saying. Being the most popular deck definitely increases it's chances of winning, and it also increases the chances of it being countered, heh.

Good thoughts. :)
