What is your Favorite Pokemon and why??

Electivire, been my favorite seen Pokemon D/P came out, I looked at the DP card when it first came out. Then was like... WOW.
Brings me a ton of memories, hard to explain.

WOWIE! Where do I start?
Back in the day, my favorite was Blastoise. It's mainly because it was my stated and I was like.. 5 so I wasn't very UHH knowledgeable about Pokemon. I can tell you right now that Blastoise is FAR from my favorite.
At a Soap Box Derby race I went to (not the small ones, the big ones you can get in)...(I raced, not spectated) I overheard two older kids chit chatting about Pokemon. This is back when the Pokemon games FIRST hit America, so it was brand new and everyone was crazy about it. Anyway, I heard one of the older boys tell the other that Chansey was the best Pokemon. So I took that to heart!! From then on, Chansey was to be my favorite.
That same day I met another family, who had two sons. One was my age and the other was older. They taught me so much bout Pokemon. Before them I never even knew what a Machamp was. I asked them what their favorites were and they said Kabutops and Golduck respectively. We were not around our Poke-merchandise at the moment so they didn't have any pictures to reference me to, but I figured Golduck was a golden duck and Kabutops was like Machamp, only with sword hands!! This story wasn't really relevant, but I love those memories.
Anyway, when 2nd gen came out, it was HUGE considering it was the first expansion the Pokemon series had ever seen. My best friend and I were sitting in my room splitting my cards amongst each other (we were best friends, we loved to share!) and we couldn't figure out which Pokemon we like best anymore, there were too many to choose from! So we decided the best thing to do was let fate decide, and turned all my cards over and scrambled them all up. I picked up a Sunkern card and he picked up a Ladyba card. He never thought anything of this, but I took it to heart and let Sunkern grow on me. Bye bye Chansey, hello Sunkern/Sunflora.
So that phase passed eventually and I believe somewhere in there that I went through a phase of loving steel type, and therefore loved Forretress. Still do, fun Pokemon.
Anyway I can't remember the details from then and now but I do recall that in Emerald I decided to use Pokemon that I would never expect I would use, and BOY did that open a whole 'nother door for me. I used Gardevoir (at the time I did not know that was a well known Pokemon), Sableye, Manectric, Crobat, Sceptile, and something else I can't remember. This was like a Pokemon intervention for me. I realized I was happier with the Pokemon that I would hav otherwise over looked. Gardevoir never stuck with me, neither did Sceptile, but Manectric and Sableye are my top two current favorites. I love Crobat as well, just not as much.
Amongst the rest of my favorites are Froslass, Lopunny, Wailord, Mightyena, Golduck, and many many more! Oh yes and I have taken a liking to Pokemon with big teethy grins such as Gengar, Sableye, and Rotom (cut form only jas the grin, but I like the Pokemon as a whole).

My favorite Poke'mon are Slakoth and Murkrow because I can relate to them.
