Like most people, I keep Feraligatr and Lugia in the back, guarding both of my own entry points.
Latios and Chimchar play forward, gunning for the opponent's entry points. Each has the potential to deal a fairly strong white attack (Chimchar's 40HP Ember and 20X Fury Swipes help make his strong Miss area easier to deal with, and Latios obviously is killer as long as he doesn't face any Purple attacks). So they can often hold their own when encountering the opponent's other 3MP Pokemon he's pushing forward towards my entry points. If I know I'm going to be facing another lightweight Pokemon, I'll use X Attack too.
Once I get to either opponent's entry point, I pull out Switch and bring one of the 1MP boys in to trek towards the goal, most likely Lugia.
Shroomish and Ho-Oh are just my assassins. If one of my lightweight guys gets knocked out, I move these two towards 'em to kick some tail and hopefully deal some status effects. Also, obviously, they're useful for when another fight ends with two Misses - then I can bring one of these guys in for the surround.
Pretty standard strategy that a lot of you guys play with, but the great thing about TFG is how much variety there is with how each character has to be used, how much risk is involved in using each, etc...plus the trainer cards.
I want to use some of my other figures to figure out a couple of other more specialized teams, though. I'd like to make a good one built for just chugging towards the goal, winning battles. Or perhaps a super fast team (if I had more than one Latios, it'd be pretty cool to try a team with a bunch of those with like one 1MP Pokemon in the back). That's something I'll work on sometime.
