Just like it says, what "normal" cards do you like to use in Pokemon TCG: Rumble, and what kind of rules do you use for cards that tell you to draw cards, flip coins, discard energy, etc?

I've seen people use things like SF Regigigas (with the regiform body) and Rayquaza C Lv. X and just other hard hitting colorless pokemon.

Here's our "normal" pokemon roster:

Heatran LA (metal type) - 3 [C] to attack, but you flip a coin for each metal/rainbow you roll
Poliwrath LA - two good, but balanced attacks
Rhyperior E4 RR - balanced attacks without too much HP
Metagross SV - makes the game fun when it hits the field
Regirock LA - decent attack for 3 energy
Blaziken GE - [F][F][C] for 80 makes for interesting snipes with the target die. when you roll, you choose one of that player's pokemon
Gengar DP - Dropping a poke down to 10 HP and also being able to spread damage counters between a couple pokes is cool
Roserade C SV - good psychic type with balanced attack
Skuntank SF - easy attack with low damage output, but has poison. 3 for 60 is decent too
Sceptile SF - the GE one is a bit broken for rumble, but this one is balanced and fun
Magnezone SF (L) - Gyro ball lets you switch magnezone with your other pkmn on the field, which is always interesting
Dusknoir (black star promo) - Reaper pulse is good, and the power lets you look at the pokemon under your target pokemon.
Infernape E4 RR - Split bomb is good for hitting two pokes, and high jump kick is good, balanced by low hp
Froslass AR - to counter fire types [W][C] for 50 is good too, balanced by low HP
Zapdos SV - decent L type to counter some water pokes.

Uh...what's Pokemon TCG: Rumble?

Edit: Nvm, went and googled it. Apparently I've been sitting under a rock for the last month

T-Tar
Gliscor *PROMO*
Gliscor X
Togekiss
Ambipom MT (Very high chance of doing 80-100)
Beautifly PL (Almost always 60 or 60+Poison+Burn+Sleep)
Queen
Magnezone SF (L)
Magnezone Lv.X

When we played it, we applied bodies(Not powers) and special conditions, can't remember all of them right now, I'll update later.

For coins, we flipped everything overall it was pretty fun. As for Bench Damage, we played with 6 pokes each to make the games longer, and bench damage could target one of those, flipping it over while it takes damage, once that Poke is flipped over it's body came into play which was why Queen was such a popular choice.

We also banned Garchomp SV, seems too easy to hit 120.

One Rule have been doing is placing the Tokens BEFORE dealing out the cards! Makes it more interesting and actually a lot of the Kids find it more FUN!!

Nidoqueen RR is Awesome! How we used it was, it removed a Damage counter from Each Pokemon You had a marker on before and after your turn! 1 for 40 is common and Ruthless tail can do 70 if both of oyur opponents markers are in play!! If there are Pokemon not selected, you count each one not used (other than the one your attacking) and it does that much damage!

Poliwrath LA is amazing as well!! 1 F for 60 as long as it didn't get hit last turn and 130 HP is nasty!! Submission can do that Quick KO, though the self damage can hurt if used to much!!

Charizard SF, though hard to pull off, is quite nice! We allow the Body to turn all the NRG to fire and then you can hit for 100!! It is amazing and sticks to the X2 Weakness Rumble is meant to be!!

Cherrim SF is another interesting Card!! Salty Sweet Pollen for 30 (Cherrim's Body) and healing in Rumble is important!! Also, the Healing can come off your other Pokemon with the Marker! This combos nice with Pokemon that self damage and your opponents are using those attacks.. Gyarados anyone!

Clefable DP is another nice one! Metronome can copy any of the attacks from chosen Pokemon for 3 of any energy! This is Awesome and can be Super strong!! The best way to abuse Rumble Mewtwo IMHO!!

Zangoose PL is fun for Spread style! Invite and Strike can pick any Pokemon taken that is not yours and do 20 damage! Some cards that do Spread attacks, we put a damage counter on all the Pokemon except yours for Chop Up.

Uxie LA is interesting! If you choose to Psychic Restore, you can put Uxie on the Bottom and flip the card under it over and Remove the Damage! Obviously, if Uxie is the Only Card, we don't allow the Flip.. but thinking of it... we might start allowing the Flip and then re-flipping it right then.. so just remove the Damage!

Then Earthquake style attacks hit only yours!

Those are just a few...we have been using all kinds of cards and are trying to figure out how to Do Stadiums and Tools!! It may be reserved to those that can search them out and put them in play!!

One of our favorite variants at this time is to have the kids play with the cards just after they open the packs.

We have decided to ignore all "Call for Family", "Draw", "Discard Energy" Attacks, but allow burn and poison to work just as they should.

If there is a forced switch (Gust) we do require that the affected Pokemon switch with their alternate pokemon (if available) but if not, the Pokemon just stays.

Paralysis makes you skip a roll, Sleep, you have to roll after and before your roll to see if you wake up.

Confusion has been ignored.

It is really cool to see 3-4 kids right after they open packs have to pick their 2 best cards from their pack, and drop them to "Rumble"

Great fun interactive game!!

He'd make a good "champion" to fight against, though, if you come up with a variant more closely aligned to the video game. :T

we typically have all players add 2 cards to the pile and the league leaders (me and my bud Ryan) add 2 more in for the 16 required to set up.

We're still testing out ideas for some cards, but we stick to the basic rules (so no coin flips/etc). One of the favorites we've seen is Clefairy/Clefable (which ever one has Metronome as a second attack for 3 colorless).

Regigigas Lv.X anyone? Or how about Regigigas LA (the theme deck one). Or what about SF Salamence? Those are all cool.

We had Arceus Salamence LvX in our Rumble... but it got taken out before it could attack! One of the other cards was AR Bronzong, with Wide Laser - we said that the damage affects as many cards to the left as you roll... seemed to work ok.
