Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What sort of deck would be nice for new season?

No more:
Roseanne's Research :frown:
Claydol :frown:
Uxie :frown:
......... a lot more :frown::mad:
AGH!

so.

What good draw engines and what good pokemon combos will be seen or played?

Wait...what?

Roseanne's was reprinted in pop8 and probably some other set I can't name, uxie was in LA...

No-one knows what is getting rotated, but plenty of people act like they do.

It is not very likely that they would rotate all of the DP sets this year (that's DP - SF).

I think that all of these "next format" speculation threads should be immediately locked/deleted. It's pointless to discuss it when nothing has been announced. It's tiring to see it everywhere. Just put up an announcement. This is absurd.

Isn't all of DP getting rotated?

No one can know for sure, but DP-SF has an extremley low chance of all being rotated. That would mean SF was only playable for about 9-10 months, and they would be left with 3 playable sets.

The most likey formats for next season look to be:

DP-on ( No Rotation )

GE-on

MD-on

Most people are debating out of those three.

all of the things you posted up there are *probably* going to be legal next year, so just do what your doing now.

well. ok. noone still gave some ideas

Maybe because no-one knows what cards will be available next season?

What's the point of making decks now without Claydol and Uxie?

Just be patient. As soon as the rotation and spoilers for the next set are known, you will see tons of new decks in the Deck Help Forum*

*Almost all of them will be terrible, though

What are the exact rules for rotated cards? Say GE gets rotated, does that mean I can't use any Rare Candy from GE and I have to strictly use the POP ones or can I still use the GE ones since POP8 is still in rotation?

I think they are counted as reprints so you could use the GE ones.

You can even use Rare Candy's from EX: Sandstorm. (the 2nd Nintendo era set)

Nothing even comes close to Claydol and Uxie, so it's almost a pointless question.

Porygon 2 is . . . better than nothing.

There are some decent draw Supporters: Volkner's, Cynthia, Felicity, POV, etc.

There are Trainers that give limited draw: Pokedex, Poke Drawer, Victory Medal.

There are a number of Pokemon that have attacks that let you draw or search: Furret SW, Chatot MD, Lopunny LA, Aerodactyl GL, etc.

I think one dies and a new one is born.

I'm keeping an eye on the frequency of this topic now that you mention it.

Thanks.

When claydol leaves expect a 3-1 Uxie line to be the norm. Volkners and Cynthias will see more play as well

Lastly, lock up your SPs. As soon as we lose Unown G, they'll be crazy tough to play thanks to Machamp owning face.

Well I can tell you Aaron's Collection works almost excatly like Roseanne's just in the discard pile. Volkner's and Aaron's should be a good replacement.
