Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What surprised you? What decks owned BR"s. Was it as predicted?

i recently had a thread "what decks r gonna own BR's," well this is for what decks did. my first battleroad for the year, skittles won masters, bombardment won juniors, lol, and i won seniors with energy flow 5.5. at my second battle roads, G&G, Magleaf, Torteriffic, Skittles, and Kingdra did pretty good, i came in 8th with my leafeon dusknoir deck that wasn't that great.

I am going to close this as duplicative.

Wait, no I'm not. I'm going to change the title of the thread, and allow it to stay.

I don't think it is the same as what the other thread is.

What suprised me is how different the BRs I went to were both in terms of number of players and decks being played. Each event was nearly a completely seperate meta.

*To completely answer thread title*

I was surprized to see Blissey/Darkrai/Weavile at my 1st BR in the finals (Not that it wasn't good but, I thought nobody would play that in todays format, it was cool)

Kingdra PWNs in my area (I PWN with Kingdra in my area:lol:)

I predicted AMUs and Luxrays but, I just see Kingdra:p

in northern VA there is luxray, kingdra, and torterra

in southern VA there is AMU and leafmag

this is just what I saw was the most being played in each area.

Since the same players go to each BR here. it didnt change much except
AMU played at 2 br. didnt make top cut
1st BR: All Torterra final
2nd BR: Final round top 2 tables were 3 Froslass, people switched to Froslass even though they knew there would be Torterra.. the torterra's went 2-2 and 1-3.
Luxray got 3rd than 2nd

...I guess what I'm surprised about are that Luxray's not owning us that hard in Washington, and neither is Kingdra. Instead, we're having cases where someone plays with a Kingdra deck... and beats Luxray to lose to Houndoom next round.
Both Kingdra and Pixies are the two popular decks and... Neither are doing well. Spread decks aren't really being played either. It's... Weird. :/

At the Mansfield OH BR that I judged yesterday, it was a Togekiss/Kyogre taking down a Magmortar/Blissey deck in the finals.
