Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What's your anime?

I'm new on making topics so here it goes! I love anime!! it's the best thing in the world to me so tell me.... What's your favortie(s) anime shows, manga/books, stuff of the above and why? I'd like to know...... so please tell me what's your faves!!! :) Thx so much!!! Shining_Delcatty :) :D

Way too many to list...but I'll list some:
Kanon- A great romance, enough plot twists to keep it interesting after the first half
Infinite Ryvius- Buncha (and I mean alot) teenagers stuck on an advanced warship...good times.
Scryed- Great animated battle scenes, alter powers are pretty cool
Rurouni Kenshin- A classic, something everyone should watch.
Inuyasha- I own the first two seasons on DVD, I cannot even begin to explain the greatness of this series.
Martian Successor Nadesico- A parody of giant robot anime...good stuff.
Tenchi Muyo!- Great series, the best of the Tenchi series, I just can't wait until the 3rd OVA is done...
Oh! My Goddess- Another classic, a feel good romantic comedy.
Slayers- You just gotta love Lina and jellyfish for brains...er Gourry....not to mention that one OVA with the Naga clones...that was just priceless.
Love Hina- Yet another classic...childhood promises, plenty of comedy, definately a must see.
Shaman King- So long as you don't watch the dubbed version its great...I'm not usually against dubbing, but after changing Manta's name...I just couldn't stand it.
Duel Masters- .....pfft XD Just kidding...I recently saw this on CN for the first time Saturday and I could not believe how utterly retarded it was...at first I thought I was watching some horrible, comedy, commercial-type parody of a dub...but then it didn't end XD

I could go on to list dozens more of anime I like, but it would take too long. Others I won't go in depth about:
Azumanga Daioh
FLCL
Gundam Seed
Gundam Wing
Ranma
I My Me! Strawberry Eggs
Please Teacher
Tokyo Underground
Cowboy Bebop
Naruto (haven't had a chance to view it yet, but I've heard nothing but praises)
Chobits
And a whole lot more I can't think of right now XD

Like OHB stated, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (The eternity you wish for) is lots of drama. It starts out as your typical high school romance, but around episode the story gets a jump of some years into the future and you have to readjust to the new situation as life has passed on for some , but not for others.

As for my favourite series: Noir, it ciscerns the lives of two female assassins and their quest to find out about their pasts.

Fruits Basket - It is THE best anime ever, (At least for me. ^^) I mean, it makes you cry, it makes you laugh. It makes you realize a lot of things about life. It's just amazing how one anime could do all that. And it has a good storyline, and characters that everyone can love. =D

OHB: Never heard of that one before.... what's it about?

*SPOILER*
FLCL (Fooly Cooly) is about a teen, his mutant girlfriend, an alien outlaw, and a robot that came out of his forehead after an accident.
This boy, named Takkun-Naota has a secret power tht everyone is after.
Naota can control his robot, which swallows him and takes his head out his shirt.
The alien, named Haruko, is after Naota's power and his robot, Canti.
Haruko will do anything to get his pwer, but unfortunately, Takkun will do nothing about it because of puppy love.
Canti has the legendary outlaw's power, which is unknown.
Takkun's older brother has left to America to be a baseball pro.
His girlfriend has been left in Japan to see Naota as her new girlfriend, but Naota disapproves.
His real Girlfriend, Mamimi, has a similar power, in which she can control a balloon inflated inside of her head.
Mamimi and Takkun have a fight, that soon is expired by Haruko.
Takkun's dad, Mon-chan, is a pervert that hires Haruko as a maid.

Well I think everyone knows my preference already, Evangelion is my fav. It's a bit of a rough story, but the characters have believable problems outside of the plotline. It's an old series, yes, but I can't get enough of it. Especially the mysteries that come up and are resolved in the plotline. They keep you guessing until the very end, and even then it doesn't finish them all off, leaving the mysteries to be figured out by fans in countless discussions and fanfictions.

HEADS UP - Just a reminder to everyone that "polls" are not allowed here on the boards, but good solid "discussion" is perfectly fine. Just saying that something is your favorite is a waste of space, but if you wish to explain *why* it is your favorite then we will keep the topic open.

Thanks for understanding,
- CHRISBO, Administrator

P.S. My current anime likes = Inuyasha, Wolf's Rain, Rurouni Kenshin, most Gundam series (jury's still out on Gundam Seed though).
My current anime dislikes (not "hate", just not my personal cup o' tea) = Rave Master, FLCL, Sol Bianca, El-Hazard (the first one was OK), .Hack\\Legend (what next, ".Hack\\Babies"???) , Tenchi Muyo (overkilled on Toonami).

(I guess you can tell that I prefer more action over comedy types of anime.)

My Top 5 Current Favorites
1. Pokemon - IDK why I like it. I just do. :D
2. Case Closed - It's fun to try to solve the cases and there is a lot of humour in it.
3. Inuyasha - Funny, action-packed. [and it's ending in this September in Japan :(]
4. Trigun - Good with life themes and action packed with a lot of humour as well.
5. Witch Hunter Robin - Action packed and fun to watch.

My Top 3 Most Unliked Animes
1. FLCL - I don't understand it, it's confusing, and too adult for me.
2. Wolf's Rain - I just don't like it for some reason.
3. Bebop - I liked it the first 10 times they showed it, then it got old.

I like
Pokemon
Yu-Gi-Oh
Cardcaptors
Dragonball/Z/GT
Rurouni Kenshin
Yu Yu Hakusho
.Hack/Sign or W/e
I have only seen animes that come to Kids WB and CN but I do enjoy them. Pokemon is getting old for me. I now really see that the plot line just isn't dramatic enough compared to several others. YGO atleast does have a nice story line that is always moving and has logical cliff-hanger endings. (although they summarize past events for about 5 minutes of every episode) The Dragon series is always good. Over-played but good. I still wait every saturday for the new GT. For the months Rurouni Kenshin, .Hack were on the saturday night CN line-up they were good. .Hack is so confusing but I really liked Rurouni Kenshin. Why did they take that off?? I have really enjoyed Yu Yu Hakusho since I started watching about a year ago. I know it was on before that but I never watched until it was on saturdays. I like Cardcaptors a lot too even though I know some people here didn't like them. Too bad it's been gone for like 2 years now. That's my only seen American shown kid-appropriate animes opinion. ;)

Waaay too many to list......I like almost everything I can get my hands on. Some of my favorites:

Rurouni Kenshin: This is the best anime I've ever seen. I've always loved history and stories set in historical times, even if they aren't entirely accurate. The characters are cool, funny, and interesting, the storyline is really good, the music is awesome........I could go on for a long time......:D

Inuyasha: My favorite type of anime is probably sword-and-sorcery action type stuff, and I really like this one. It has humor, lots of action and excitement, interesting plot developments, and so on. They don't show 'em fast enough.........:p

Hikaru no Go: I love this one. It has really great characters, it can be quite funny, the story's good....... It's interesting to see how the characters develop over the series, especially when you go back later and see the early episodes again (that's true for a lot of animes, but I really noticed it with this one). When I first got the series, I'd stay up half the night watching it so I could find out what happened next. Oh, and the music is really great! :thumb:

I'll stop there for now...... maybe I'll add some more later.......:D :p
