Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What's Your Fighting Style?

My style has a mixture of everything. Speed, control, rogue, fun, beatdown, etc... I do like to play with cards that are not meta, but can hold their own against them. I also like to lock powers. My avatar is Amphy and it's also my favorite pokemon. It fits me so well.

50 degrees! What Pokemon would you feature?

Leafeon X, Shaymin X, Sceptile, and Torterra to name a few.

Sweet! Mine are both Blaziken and Mew, though I also like Ho-Oh. Phoenix's ftw!

My best decks have been those that "break the rules" somewhat. From energy manipulation to quick evolution to massive HP to insane deck manipulation, I've worked with pretty much everything that's more of a setup deck than a speed deck (though Shuppet is immensely fun). My best decks have been my Energy Accelerators and Manipulators, starting with Base Blastoise and running through Feraligatr, Gardevoir, Dark Steelix, DragTrode, Electivire/Dragonite, Torterrible, and now Dark Flygon, with a few miscues floating around in there.

Torterrible? I've heard of that, but I don't know what it means.

Consistency and control. I want to be able to get set up quickly every time, and then be able to dictate the pace of the match and the actions of my opponent. Keep them from being able to make the most of their strategy of choice. If I can make them worry more about what I'm going to be doing, and focus on trying to get around my deck, they can't focus as much on getting their own strategy running smoothly.

Torterra MD/Sceptile GE. It used to be one of last year's strongest decks, but got progressively weaker with each release (Dialga G LV.X, Palkia G LV.X, Infernape 4 LV.X, and Luxray GL LV.X).

A moment of silence for our fallen soldier please.

*sniffle*

I have played plenty of decks. My most recent are Kingdra, Dialga/Garchomp, and GlisTomb. So I guess my current play-style is speed/tank-lock/lock.

I'm a speed/gimmick/rogue kind of player.
I love making gimmick/rogue decks such a Rayquaza and do a consistent 200 damage, sure it takes 3 turns, but it feels so rewarding getting 3 prizes with only one Ray X.
I usually have a new deck every week for League.
My main deck for tournaments is Gengar, or "Ghosts Never Die", I've been playing it for over a year now slightly modding it to different variants...
I want a quick fast game, yet with a good amount of strategy, in tournaments I play to win.
Otherwise I just want to have a good time at leagues and play my own rather fun rogue decks.

I'm mostly for speed; my MightyTank is pretty fast to set up. After a while I switched to Garchomp (non-SP) and comboed that with Weavile and Speed Impact everything that moved. Just about everyone says that Guard Claw alongside Nidoqueen was the play for that deck, and so I tried that slower playstyle. It makes me think about my moves a bit more.

I generally play decks that are fairly luck-based: Skittles Donk, Dialga Lv. X GE/Venusaur SW, Eggs MT, etc. The good fast cards are archetypes, the good strong cards are archetypes; all that's really left most of the time are flippy cards. Plus, they're more fun to play because you can annoy your opponent more.

xDDD Wow. So a lot of different deck types are used. I was afriad the wntire world had become obsessed with speed and accuracy.
