Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Where are the collectors at?

I hate biding in auctions, I only attempted once in ebay for a certain No.3 trainer but got bested by a certain 'someone'.

 Haha I remember that day/night I think about it because I got outbid to bid a certain someone on the no 2 trainer...actually it was some girl in germany. Anyway that was a nice week seeing those cards on ebay

Yes those pika trophy card auctions were in deed epic, I am so glad I was able with tremendous help of course convince Mozz to buy the No.1 more or less privately, he probably lost some money on that card, since who knows how high that card would have gone to if I didn't basically plead and beg to buy it privately.

I wonder if we will ever see a PSA graded '98 or '99 trophy pikachu set up on ebay, they are out there despite they are grossly mislabeled by PSA, also there is a PSA-8 Illustrator out there somewhere, there is a highly potential 9/10 once I garner up enough cash for it, and I call it!

Wow what a cheapskate william you cant even pay the price of its value. No one likes a cheapie thats unfair to those who would have dished out more money.Shame on you.:nonono:

he dished out $9,000.....that is a checkmate crazy dont come in here talking crazy. Anyway i hope we see the 98 and 99 pikas up for sale. I think they wont sell unless they go for an auction but even then they will go for a low price.

Hey, that's awfully mean!:nonono: How can you say Will, of all people is a cheapskate? He's spent probably the most on Pokémon, along with the likes of Scott and Mozz. He was being entirely honest with what he did, which is fair game IMO.

Besides, isn't that what you did with some sheet IIRC? Not cool to be rude mate.

Thanks to Scott and DJ for their support through the Imakuni saga LOL - really happy that I finally get my hands on them, after 3 years of failed bids! I only need the legendary birds I think. Yay!!

I said that because william called me cheap.

Prerelease Raichu= $10,500
Pika No. 1= $9,000
Players Club Umbreon= Lots
No. 1 Trainer- Lots

Uncut Test Sheet= ~£10 each
Plus when he sold them to someone else you whined until he gave you a free one.

Double Sided STS Rocket card= Auction ended at $103 then you again whined to the seller until he lowered the price to $70.

I think we know who the cheap one is.

yeah william paid a lot for the other cards as well, I mean to get those top cards you have to be ready to put out thousands, otherwise someone else will buy it. I almost had the no 2 trainer from 1997 but some girl from Germany came in and got it, so there are collectors out there, or at least people who are after the high end cards.

The very reason why people are willing to pay premiums for trophy cards and other such scarcities is because they are 'known' by a majority but 'owned' by a minority of people; i.e. desirable to have but extremely difficult to get either through winning or buying.

Sure they may be 'useless' in game play but in collector and player status/ego they are highly coveted and desirable add to that mix when they are graded for a collector's perspective.

I can not say what one would think of having a card graded if that person won the card in the actual tournament it was held fair and square.

IMO those who do not get their trophy cards graded by either PSA or BGS are making a poor investment choice, both in the concepts of profitable return and prolonging the 'lifespan' or protection and integrity of the card, sorry screw down cases don't cut and more often than not cause wear and tear on the card especially if the screw down isn't in a conclave grooved case.

What free one i dident get anything free.I paid for everything.

Will, most people who win tournaments generally don't consider a long term investment in their trophy cards, they will usually sell pretty quickly in order to cash in while they are new and popular.

In fact I think that this will be the first time that the Masters No. 1 Trainer from Worlds has not been sold.
I think Ness sold both of his, I'm almost certain that Tom Roos did and since Jeremy M quit the game I'd imagine his was sold. I'm unsure about Yamatos.
But Steve I'm almost certain won't sell it because him and his dad have a great appreciation for rare cards.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

What free one i dident get anything free.I paid for everything.

I was told that when the seller sold one of the sheets you complained until you got a free one.

But the double sided miscut situation proves that you're cheap anyway.

first off i had 70 dollars on me at the time it would have taken about 2 weeks or so until i got the rest of the money to make it to 103.the seller said 70 is fine and that was it.
they accepted 70 all i said was it would take me a while to make up the difference so they took what i had at the time because they were in a rush.
And nothing in life is for free even if there is something free there is usualy a reason for it being that.

so you kept bidding on something KNOWING full well you didn't have the means to pay for it immediately?

'mom

Crazy: Don't bid if you can't pay.

Will: At least if they sell to collectors, then the collectors can make the investment to have them graded asap.

Not that its any of your buisness pokemom:mad: Which by the way it isent:nonono:.i was gonna pay 70 now and the difference in 2 weeks or less but they said 70 is fine.Maybe they were in a good mood or maybe they were feeling holiday spirit or something because this was at the end of the year.
Usualy someone would have taken the 70 and waited for the rest before sending out the card.

Also william is cheap hes got money and gets cards for less so he is being cheap very well having the money and not forking it over is being cheap.
