Where are the collectors at?

It's on my "to do" list, but I have higher priorities.
I put a lot of research into it because I want it to cover a lot and be accurate.
When we eventually find one we're going to get into a colossal argument over who can buy it
Nah. It really isn't on my get-list at all. I never had much interest in the movies.

Ehm.. Starting off right now with the full 'BEST' set.
Collecting 'Professor' stamps, too. Got two of each '06-07, and 05-06.

And I'm just now starting my collection of Vending Series. Already got all of series three, with duplicates of quite a bit(Bought more than just the full 18 sheets).
I'd be up for buying(?) your trophy cards if they were up for sale..

That was not fun. 31 deleted posts that were either off topic (whining) or replies to the whining.
The point of this thread, from what I just read of the first post, is for this to be a place that all members can discuss their collections, show off, brag, make inquiries, get information, etc.
Notice I said ALL members. That means that anyone that is registered on this site has the right to post in this topic. That being said, that also means that all members have the right to post without being attacked, demeaned, made fun of, or otherwise put into a situation that they feel they need to defend themselves or their posts.
If a member brags, shows off, whatever you want to call it, and the rest of the members don't go 'OMG!! _________ that is an awesome card / collection / whatever' you cannot start to whine. That just opens the door to 31 more deleted posts, more points to the people that need them and a closed topic.
Yes, you read that right. I have no issue locking this topic. None of the Staff will hesitate to shut this down if needed.
After this topic got locked up earlier today, I received several PM's regarig why it should not have been closed. For those that wrote them, keep in mind why you wanted the topic to remain open.
To have a place to discuss your collections. Not to have a pace to fight with people.
My last thought before I go back to the topic of this thread. The report button is your friend.

As far as sets, I have complete sets from Base all the way up to Pt:Arceus. Every card released in English, well except for Trophy cards.
The point of this thread, from what I just read of the first post, is for this to be a place that all members can discuss their collections, show off, brag, make inquiries, get information, etc.

That does not include 1st Ed / Unlimited editions. At the time I started collecting, I was just getting one of everything.
For sets that include AH of cards, I do have all versions, including the special reprints - by way of League, box set cards, alt art, etc.

I'll be trying to resend in some cards to PSA for a friend of mine.
Slightly off topic and just out of curiosity did anyone purchase the tournament trophy card that promo_sen had up on ebay since it is no longer listed.
It gives me a peace of mind knowing when and if cards like that switch hands.
The recent TMB No.2 card transferring ownership is another example of this and would like to know who has that particular card but I'm not going to press the issue, I am simply curious.
As for me it'll take me a very long time before I make any more purchases. My Philosophy is 'start at top and work your way down.'
This translates amongst card collectors as start procuring the real rare almost impossible to obtain cards followed by not the not as rare and so forth.

There was this one guy who came to our CC with a huge binder of Neo cards that the store wouldn't buy because they don't carry singles who offered to sell me 1st ed Shinings for $5 a pop. (For the record, he checked with the store and got their permission since they don't and never will carry the cards he was selling, and they knew he wanted to turn around and buy some MTG).
It was like, "Whhyyyy is my wallet not here??" T_T
I think this would drive me crazy. I like to see my collection growing! : 3 But that's just me. I still haven't decided if I ever even want to get into trophy cards and the like o o;

Many people share your perspective niimou from the casual to the more seriously dedicated collector.
Those who desire really rare cards usually feel 'morally' obligated to obtain ones whose scarcity are less scarce than others and work their way up each rung of the ladder of pokemon card progress representing more and more rarity each time.
Though honestly most fall in to neither of the two categories (starting from top or vice versa)but simply collect what they liken to in matters of personal taste.

Yeah I would recommend not getting into to trophy cards :wink: Well there is some seriousness to that. They are large investments and the money could be spent elsewhere so it is an ethical decision for sure.
Also just collecting is fun whether or not the card is expensive or that rare, I honestly just like the story or information behind each one! I would recommend the japanese promos! They usually have the best history, but I am partial towards them.

That'd be better than the Trophy cards IMO. I wonder who has them now...
I share a different persepctive than Will about Trophy Cards for sale - eventually I would like to have enough money to buy some, but it looks like by the time I get there, noone would be willing to sell!!
