Hey there ho there!

I am newly into collecting Pokemon cards and I was wondering what would be a good place to start collecting wise? I've already looked at some stuff from troll and toad and I am going to go to Wal-Mart to get the latest editions. (Some of them at least.) Are there any latter editions that are cheaper that I can get more bang for my buck!? Thanks for any help! :)
 
I recommend purchasing tins. They come with a powerful and great-looking Promo and 4 assorted booster packs (41 cards) for just $15 - $25. You can purchase these at all department stores (Walmart, Target), card and comic stores and variety stores.

PS: if card packs at convenience stores cost just $0.50 or $1.00, DON'T buy them. They're most likely fake.
 
I agree with Lucario, you are guaranteed a nice promo card in the tin, as well as 4 booster packs for around $20, cheaper than buying the packs separately. Also, some of the prices on Troll and Toad can be a little high priced :$
