Which Booster is The Best To Buy?

Wrathchild

New Member
Yo, I'm new to the whole "new" Pokemon scene and I was wondering which booster pack is the best one to buy.
Like with the most value cards (not in to the whole battling thing)
I only used to collect the base versions.
Thanks in advance :thumb:

For collection i would get Legends Awaken and for battling i would start from the begining starting at DP and move at your own pace.

Right now, one of the most sought after cards is Leafeon Lv. X.

This appears in the Majestic Dawn set.

Your best bet, for collecting, is to buy booster boxes. The chances of getting what you want are a lot higher than buying individual booster packs in smaller quantities.

Collection wise, Legends Awakened or Stormfront are both great choices. Both of them have great artwork, and the number of Lv.X in each set is high. Stormfront also has the Shiny Pokemon and the Charizard reprint line.

And if you do get interested in playing, both Stormfront and Legends Awakened are AMAZING sets.

Star pokemon are no longer legal for modified play.

The best set to buy is probably Stormfront, a box or thereabouts - odds are you'll get a full Dusknoir family and a full Gengar family, and you can trade for the Dusky Lv. X if you don't pull it, and you have the basis for a solid deck. If you're looking for straight staples, Great Encounters offers Claydols, Unown Gs, and Rare Candies pre-eminently.

Legends Awakened is a genuinely solid set to buy. Stormfront is your best bet though.

Like Prodigal fanboy said, Stormfront because its way easy to get a full or close to full dusknoir gengar deck out of a booster box. SF Boxes are about $85 + S&H

Stormfront would probably be best and like someone said, boxes are better than boosters.

If you wan't to play competitively though, there are a lot of cards from past sets you'd need.

They are good because there the 2 main cards in most new decks now.

Oh, thanks. I shall be on the hunt for them then :pokeball:

Thank you to everyone replying to my thread. I would get boxes, but my parents won't get me the,. So I believe this is what I'm getting
5 Stormfront Packs and 3 Legends Awakened Packs.

Okay, but that's not a whole lot of cards. If you want to play, you'll need more than that, or get ready for some EPIC trading/borrowing.

LoL, all you guys are talking about what he needs, or what's best for play...

When, if I'm not mistaken, in the OP, it says not* for battling.

well, one of the easiest way to get high value cards is to buy a box of Great Encounters. if u do that, each claydol u pull (which is only a non holo rare) goes for around 20 dollars. however, the drawback is that there really isn't anything else of any great value in that set besides cresselia lv. x

Like Prodigal fanboy said, Stormfront because its way easy to get a full or close to full dusknoir gengar deck out of a booster box. SF Boxes are about $85 + S&H

Actually 76$ from C.Collect...

And to answer your question Stormfront for collecting, who doesen't want a reprint of Charizard?

*proud owner of 2 charizards and a machamp X, used to have Raichu X*

Tell your parents they'd save more by buying a box instead,
8 X 4= 32$ including tax would be 36$
Whilst
80 / 36=approx 2$
