Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Who got the Wii U?

It's different... but the controller itself is different so there's that... My most frustrating thing is sometimes forgetting to look down to the screen for inventory stuff, but as I played, it began to be second nature.

*shrug*

My NNID is Asrialys, if anyone's interested. Only have Nintendo Land and ZombiU for now. May get Black Ops 2. Not really my kind of game, but I kinda enjoyed Modern Warfare: Reflex for Wii.

1) How far can you take your GamePad away from the TV?
Will often depend on what your walls are made of if you plan on putting one between your system and GamePad. There were minor audio hiccups, but I successfully played some Nintendo Land from my toilet seat in the bathroom next to my room. There's a video of a guy talking about the tech of Wii U who took his GamePad over 30 feet (I think) from his Wii U and successfully played NSMBU. In that test, the system was within line of sight.

2) Are you able to play Super Smash Brothers Brawl from the Wii U against someone who owns a Wii?
Anyone want to try? Don't see why not.

EDIT: Works fine, I guess. At least, I've played random people online who may or may not be using a Wii...

3) What does the first page of the Mii Maker look like?
Why? The GamePad's interface looks similar to that of the 3DS'. The TV shows the Miis on your system, I assume. I only have one saved on my system at the moment.

On a different note, the background music occasionally breaks into music from other Nintendo games. Well, only really heard Zelda music so far...

4) Whatever happened to the Panorama feature where your able to view the sky, ocean, etc.?
Coming soon!

5) I heard there Nintendo charges a minor .50 cents to register on the Nintendo Network. What is the age range that is considered a minor?
Under 13?

According to a certain website that review the ZombiU game, they said the control for ZombiU was bad to the point of being infuriating. Is it true?
Maybe they're just terrible at the game? :p Anyway, I haven't really experience anything infuriating except for dying, which is often my fault for being careless or I start panicking...

Is it true that when you can friends with random people through the Mii Plaza?
Yes.

Is their a Mii Plaza?
No.

Asrialys- I take it in the Brawl game that you still get a random 12-Digit Friend Code? Also, how exactly does the step by step process of transferring virtual games from the Wii to the Wii U work? Do you need to systems to be hooked up in order for the transfer process to work? Where do the Virtual Console games go once they're transferred?

Thanks for the all the answers!

Everything that can be transferred is transferred from the Wii to the Wii U. Wii game saves, Wi-Fi info, old Friend Codes, friends lists, Virtual Console games, Miis, etc. A few channels and games don't make it over, like the Photo Channel. Unfortunately, you also don't get the Wii Message Board content nor the Wii Friends list. Your Wii Friend Code and friends remain on the Wii. I heard of at least one WiiWare game (LostWinds, and it's being worked on) and some Rock Band 3 content being unable to transfer, but everything I have transferred fine, as I don't own either of those games. You Wii Shop history will also be transferred so you can redownload any games from the Wii Shop on the Wii U.

To do the transfer, you'll need an SD card and both Wii U transfer tools on the Wii and Wii U. The transfer tool for your Wii is in the shop and the one for the Wii U is already on the Wii Mode's menu. Just about everything automated. You even get to see the transfer being done by Pikmin.

By the way, all Wii stuff is only accessible from the Wii Menu, which is somewhat separate from the Wii U. Think of the Gamecube mode on the Wii.

What type of controllers would I need to use if I wanted to play the Virtual Console games on the Wii U?

Minus anything that allowed Gamecube controllers...

Besides, doesn't each Wii Shop game show a list of control options?

I didnt realize the virtual console games allowed you to use gamecube controllers... I thought they used the pro controllers...

They don't intend to drop prices anytime soon. After what happened with the 3DS they've been careful. Thats why they were so limited at first and sold out like crazy. But because the wait list was so big it's hard to find one today. For now. And I got mine from Walmart when they were doing reservations while all stores were sold out. It's pretty cool but playing with the giant game pad kinda sucks cause its wears on your hands after awhile
