Just like the topic says do we have anybody on the gym that well actually goes to a gym. Mainly this topic is just to kind of let others know what you do, tips, secrets, different workout ideas that sort of thing. I know theres a few of us I would like to see who we are.

ha ha if this is one of those "what do you think of luxchompgarvilegyar?" there would be posts flying all over the place. but no this is a "do you workout?" topic ha ha we such pokemon nerds. but too anyone reading this please do not be offended. as for me? i try to work out and get into a routine but i am too lazy and procrastinate. = .= ::tongue:

I try to, but don't have the money to do what I really want to do. I can't run, my knees really suck, and walking in the Midwest in the middle of winter is generally an invitation for a hospital visit. Gym memberships are fairly expensive when college loans are involved, and workout equipment is even moreso (plus the space that the workout equipment needs). I wish I could work out more than I do. But college loans come first.

Pretty sure planet fitness is a nationwide (US) gym and its membership is something like 10/month iirc. Its not bad at all.

Personally, I've started going to the gym more recently but its mainly cardio and a few weight machines. More of a slim/toned than bulking workout.

I workout a lot. I have a very vast knowledge of excercises and information. My main reason I workout is to become the man I wish to be.

Not a lot of options in a rural college town. Even fewer when living in a smaller rural town to save some monies for college loans...

Shoot play some music from the Rocky Balboa soundtrack and you will be running doing stretches and pushups before you know it. I'm telling you it works. Try going for 1000 pushups in about 1 to 3 hours. Or if you like playing video games play some Super street fighter or a fighting game like Brawl and excersixe in between rounds. I do it and I get results. Besuase I'm resting in between sets and excersises. Try it and you will be on your way to becoming a machop or whoever your favorite fighting pokemon is. Lol. Aronld Swarzenager will always be mine lol. One day I will find this rare pokemon but for now ill stick to my breloom and hairyama. The black and white fighting types look interesting!

^This is me, I got an 8 AM class which usually has me barely getting there on time so I started shaving at the gym when I go after my first class. This is when I realized I have a problem lol

Yup, I have a Gym membership. I enjoy a good workout 3-4 times a week. Mostly half hour of cardio then a split weight lifting routine through the week.

Use to be I would walk into a gym perfectly healthy and walk out picking up a cold somewhere. Not sure if it was from touching the nobs on the treadmill, using the medicine balls or lifting the weights. So I had to quit going. But if anyone wants to bet a box of Call of Legends(not like there worth anything) that I am not the fastest marathoner to ever win a city Championship then hit me up.

I'm not one to pump the iron (I have to start though, I have bones for arms), though I am a running addict. From March-December I usually get about 40-55 miles a week in, whether it's with my track team, my cross country teams, or just working out alone.

Who here goes to the gym?

Just like the topic says, do we have anyone on the Gym that actually goes to a gym? Mainly this topic is just to let others know what exercises you partake in, as well as tips, secrets, and other exercise ideas. You know, that sort of thing. I know there's a few people that would like to know who other gymnasts are.

Ahem! Grammar Nazi mode off.

Yes, I do "work out" sometimes, but sadly not often. I however like to "exercise" outside.

I've done 180 days of p90x. Going for 30 more days and am currently on Day 6. Before I started I was 20 pounds heavier and didn't eat so healthy... not so anymore >: )

I have a "membership" at the gym at Northwestern, although I don't go that frequently. My preferred method of exercise is biking. The weather this winter has not yet stopped me from biking, which is really nice.

I row four times a week, lift three times a week, and do an hour of cardio on the days I row. Our university gym is decent.

You will always be able to find excuses to not work out. In the end, what matters most is if you are able to find the will.

Convict conditioning, couch to 5k, plyometric exercises. There's a whole lot that you can do without even needing any weights at all to improve your general fitness.

Couch to 5k: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

Convict conditioning: various pushups, planks, bodyweight squats, pullups, dips, leg raises.

Post here/PM me and I can fill in with more detail (although I personally haven't followed either C5K or CC routines).
