Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Who's Coming to Origin& Registration Info(PreREG OVER; Event Reg to open again later)

Not to bring up old topics, but this is a friendly reminder that, if you didn't win a States this past weekend, you should probably pre-register soon. Pre-reg closes in two months, and it can creep up on you quicker than you normally think. See the first topic to a link for pre-registration.

i'll be there. Most likely for the first 2 days, as the 2nd day is the most important to me. this year, i don't want to be chained to pokemon, i actually want to get over into that exhibit hall and try out some demo's.

so yeah, i won't be playing in the endurance fest y'all call nationals, although i may show up that morning just to wish a few players the best of luck.

but yeah, part of the reason is because i plan to go to both origins and gencon this year. but yeah, i'll definitely come wish all the ohio people the best of luck nationals morning.

last year i bumped into a cute girl who i shared the same interest with Pirates/MTG etc., and y'know what, i was a total moron and instead of chatting with her, politely excused myself to go back to my stupid nationals match, this was during lunch break. um yeah. i blame it on being burnt out from many rounds of pokemon.

The award from States is a $300 allowance that is claimed when you get to Origins, so you would definitely get that. In the past, PUI has been willing to work something out with people who have paid their travel before they won a trip, so I bet they would consider doing that if you won Regionals.

I think I'll add my own category here.

Name: If you don't know who I am, I pity you.
Age Group: 11-14
Attendance and Activity Plans: Let's see...my current non-pokemon plans include participating in any Heroscape events (if there are any), checking out the vending hall...oh, and I'm looking forward to watching some more LIVE ACTION ROLEPLAY CHESS! Yeah...I should be within the convention center all day all the time.
Pre-Registered Yet?: I think so...
Forms of Identification: I'll either be wearing the infamous 'I'm a n00b!' shirt, the Team R shirt (if we decide on one), or a vest made out of the YuGiOh card 'Mind Haxxorz'. I'll most likely be wearing the 'I'm a n00b!' hat.

THis is my first year playing so what exactly is origins? I know its a huge pokemon event (Tourny) But is everyone allowed to enter or just states and nationals and big pokemon event winners? It costs 300 Dollars unless we got invited right?

Origins is a 4-day gaming convention in Columbus, OH.

Pokemon is only one of thousands of events taking place.

A 4-day pass to Origins costs about $60 (you could get it for $45 earlier).

The website is http://www.originsgames.com.

The $300 is for whatever you want to use it for (hotel, car, passes, etc.).

Reminder!

Just as a reminder: Those of you needed to preregister, the cutoff is the 25th of this month, a little weeks than 3 weeks. Those of you planning on coming for a cheaper price better jump on it!

My brother won a State Championship. I already pre-ordered a badge for myself. Does my 11 year old brother get a free badge for winning a State? Do kids under 10 years old get a free badge? Does my parent have to order a badge if he is not going to go into the tournament hall at all?

Answers...anyone?

Just a reminder (this will be edited into my first post): pre-registrations is closing down and online EVENT preregistration is now up. So, if you want to register for some events ahead of time (oh, say, Nationals?) and already have your badge, you may wanna head over that way and start getting into some events!

Name: The Meg-chan
Age Group: 15+
Attendance and Activity Plans: Going all four days. Other plans (besides Pokemon) include some roleplaying and basking in the FullMetal Alchemist and Nightmare Before Christmas card games. Booya!
Pre-Registered Yet?: Did it today! Got hotel reservations too, just 5 blocks away!

And I am SO excited!!!1112 :D Note to topic starter, I was going to cosplay, but with all the moving we're currently doing, I don't have time! I wanted to make an Ed costume too! ;_; Well...maybe I can still do something...

Anyone else planning on staying at the Columbus Hotel? It looks nice!

I'm pretty sure you will be re-embursed by milage 9 up to a point or the cost that PUI would have paid for a plane ticket. This is NOT fact, but I have worked itr that way with them before.
And yes, Team Rocket will be there, with some new members to wreak havoc!
Long live the evil leader of Team Rocket! ( yes, thats me)

Is this The Columbus the hotel you're talking about? If so, it really does look nice.

Yep! It's awesome, isn't it? And they have a special rate for Origins guests. $111 a night for a two queen room. It's a good thing I'm rooming with three other people.
