If an Ultra Ball is 2, a Dusk Ball (when used properly) is 3.

EDIT: If you can get a pokemon into the red and alseep in less than five turns a timer ball is by far your best option; if an Ultra ball is 2 (with a pokeball being 1), then a Timer Ball when used in the first five turns is a 4.

Dusk ball is also 4. The number represents part of a formula, not necessarily directly proportional to chance of catching.

You mean Quick Ball, right? Timer Ball gets better the farther into the match you are.

According to Serebii, it looks like Timer Ball maxes out at 5 at 40 turns into the match according to their formula (Turn+10)/10 which stops counting at turn 40. However, the number off to the right says 1-4.

There is also a mistake where the power of moon ball and heavy ball do not match what's listed to the right.

Catching Legend's

Well what I usually do is ( I don't know what poke game you are playing my guess Dia. or Per.
I am used to Ruby Saphire and Leaf Green) well anyways what I do is i check what type it is and
pick a pokemon with one move that is strong against it and one sleeping or pick a second pokemon that has a sleep move and two other movesthat just do damage but aren't weak agains't it also I make sure pokemon's type is strong agains't it for example I am going against Moltres I choose Lapras as my top pokemon it goes out I use Surf it uses flame thrower moltres is now down to 1/5 of it's hp come back Lapras go butterfree use sleep powder now moltres is asleep so i have butterfree use gust or some other flying type move it's hp is where i want it so I throw ultra balls (oh stop laughing you know what I mean!) eventually it will wake up so my butterfree gets hurt sleep again now hype potion on Buttyfly
now keep continuing that until you catch it (oops I forgot to mention Waaay at the beginning to
SAVE IT! (that is of the utmost importance) But the main two things you need are patience and
persistance ( hopefully I sppeled that right)

Yours Truly

Buy 60 ultra balls,60 dusk balls and 40 timer balls. Lower its HP to 1 then begin throwing the balls. Sometime you will catch it. mabey put para too.

It took me forever to catch Heatrn, Azelf, Uxie, Giratina, Creselia, and especialy Regigigas. I still haven't caught Mespirt. But the point is I would consider myself to be an expert uber catcher, but I still do it and have been richly rewarded with it, then had half my team banned from that PBR tourney.

*Author Written (Author is a word I see many people spelling incorrectly, and it annoys me)

Did you use your MB yet? If not, Cresselia or Mespirit are the best 2 to use it on. The others you should save in front of, and get their HP down and then start chucking Pokeballs at them.

Sleep/Freez also help a lot, but each of the legendaries I caught without them having one of them, and Regigigas I just threw 6 Dusk Balls and caught it, without lowering its HP at all.

ditto - get it lol pokemon joke -
... please for the love of Arceus tell me you did not just make that joke.

Anyway, my strategy is simple: bring it to red, put it to sleep, and get to chucking. There's no real trick to doing it, they're the same as any Pokemon. The only difference is that they refuse to stay in the ball even when they're incredibly low HP and have a status condition.

As long as we're on the note of difficulty capturing Legendaries, anyone got any insight on how whenever I get a Legendary down to one or two HP, no matter what I do, the Legendary breaks out of the ball without it even shaking once? The only time that I have ever gotten a Pokemon down to that point and that hasn't happened was a Frozen Mewtwo at 1 HP in Yellow (I caught it with a normal Pokeball, and pretty much partied all night because of it.) However, I don't think it's the game, because I had the same problem with the Legendary Birds in the same copy of Yellow on the same save file. Any thoughts?
