Wii tournaments?

Anyone know if the wii is gonna do online tournaments like the Xbox360 does, where you can win big prizes?

no one knows at this point but I believe it is very likely and possible, I certainly hope so.

For DS, for the new Pokemon games there are already tournaments going on in websites, pretty cool

Are you playing in the DS tournaments?? Is it an official Nintendo thing? Can infinite ppl join? If so there must be thousands of players per tournament.

no it's not a Nintendo thing, it's just something small with 12 people in it and any 3 Pokemon plus 2 items as prizes. It's just fun to play at.

I like the fact that the new pokemon game that is coming out for Wii will be compatible to go online and battle a bunch of People.
I would love it if they made a version of the card game for Wii that is Online Compatible to play,
