Will both Ho-Ho and Lugia be catchable in both HG and SS?

^Wrong. After completing the story mode, the other bird should appear at the tin tower. I think it's there, but I know you can catch the other one. The bird that goes with your game is catchable at lv 45, the other one is at lv 70.

Having played through Heart Gold already, I can confirm that Lugia was available after obtaining the Silver Wing in Pewter City(iirc). It's catch able at lv.70.

yeah if I remember correctly in pokemon crystel you could catch both Ho-oh and Lugia. So the HG SS is more or less like a remake of crystel because crystel was the first game that you could choose a boy or girl as well.
