Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Wisconsin State Championships (date and time announced!)

I just got word from Bigginzzz that James F from our store, TIY, took 1st in 11-14! I didn't get word on any of the others, he's supposed to call me back with more info.

Congrats to James! He came in 2nd in IL and now 1st in WI! Well deserved! He's a great player!

Anyone hear any more results yet?

I win my first premier event with Moon-Rock. Matt E took second.

3-3 finish with deck on Sat at IL states some horrible luck made me want to try again. I had some luck today, and no major misplays. Skill, Good Match ups, Lack of Bad Luck. had them all and some Good luck too!

Props:
Eric Richards who first put this sort of deck together at Worlds side events.
My son Quinn for urging me to put try to put one together
My son Jason for Winning a CC with it.
Adam V who went 4-2 with his Moon-Rock in MI States who gave me some confidence that the deck can take on the big boys.
Jed and Jimmy for the event.
All my opponents for playing with SOG.
Ness, Ryan, and Eric for judging during the tournament at 15+
James F for pulling off a brilliant manuever to beat Quinn in final match of 11-14.

Slops:
James F for pulling off a brilliant manuever to beat Quinn in final match of 11-14.

I hope this game isn't ALL luck LOL

I just ripped up the Feebas cause of the horrible luck...I didn't know what else to do at that point pffffffft.

Even so, congrats, I think it made your kids feel better when you won =D

Wow congrats Rob! Glad to hear it! Hey, who won 10-? Haven't heard yet. And how many were there total? Everything go smooth up there?

What was James' brilliant manuever that beat Quinn? (Is it with 2 n's?) I wasn't there cause the guy that said he would give a ride, was a heavy sleeper and I slept in too. Lol.

I was playing my own game, so I heard about it 2nd hand.
I will let someone else describe it. "Brilliant" was Quinn's words describing it. I think it involved a Pidgey using the Cornering attack.

84 ppl total, but not sure on the breakdown.

Broken Lizard's son won the 10- with Typhlosion/ex (basically, Typhlosion Beatstick)

Yup, BL's son won the 1st game, time was called on the 2nd during his turn I believe, I was one of the judges. Yea the first game went on for a while compared to the top 4 games, but he was able to pull it off. It was a Ark9 variant vs. Typhlo (fire vs. fire) which is always a favorite, lol. Congrats on the win and everyone one of those kids did a good job during their matches. They respected each other and were very polite, I felt honored to help judge these guys, so I think they all did well and everyone of those guys went home with something (which is always a plus).

Oh that's great to hear Calvin won 10-! And holy cow, there were 84 people in My Parent's Basement?? Good grief that must have been packed!

Congrats Rob! Nice job with the metta gaming.  I still say, but for a prized Vaporeon EX, I make the cut instead, but we stil had a good game. See ya soon.

Crograts to James for winning on his first day as a member of Team Chicago:clap:

He can be a member of both. I believe Ryan is (I know he's Team Chicago). Either way James is a great kid!
