Missed the second half. Watched the first half, but despite what the RTE commentators said I didn't find it too interesting. Probably just wasn't in the mood for football tonight. So Germany lost? Rats.

I have no particular afection for any of the three teams left in. France have interested me the most this year. It'd be gas if they won it after their last two Cup results. Portugal would like something to rub in Greece's face. Italy has it's own problems at home, winning the cup might cheer them up.

Meh. France FTW I suppose. If anybody's gonna be at the final, if you spot a guy calling himself Father Horan give him a kick for me please.
 
Yayy Italy won.

Now they just need to win the Cup and we can say we got knocked out by the champions :) (Australia)
 
I really want portugal to win even though I hate Portugal very much. My brother said if Portugal win this game he will get me a booster box and if they win the finalls he will get me another booster box.
 
Italy have my full support like I said - considaring the state of thier league I think a win would rate for me amongst the greats. IMO the match fixing crisis has probably brought that side together.
 
what is going on in italy? i was fliocking through the channels and saw juventus on the news head lines but the news were in dutch so i didnt understand a word they said =(

Juve, Milano, Lazio and someother team have all been charged with match and refferee fixing - If they're found guilty (its almost certain they will), They'll have thier titles, and champions league places taken, And will be relegated to Serie B. Juve may even go down to C.

The controversy of this is HUGE - one of the Juve board members tried to commit suicide, and all of the players are looking for a way out of thier clubs.

Thats why Shevshenko joined Chelsea IMO. The chances are you'll have amazing players like Buffon, Del Piero, Nesta, Dida, Kaka, and dozens more all trying to get transfered to other countries. Considaring ALL of the Italien national team play in Italy, they should be impressed with thier preformance this year.

Game is still over an hour away. I'm going nuts waitings, but then I go nuts every time France gets near the Portuguese goal. All in all, GO PORTUGAL!!!!
 
If Italy wins i will scream up and down for joy, i am now rooting for italy and also i want them to win because this might make the scandel of italy's teams go away for a while, but then again people will just think that Italy fixed matches in the world cup games.
 
loool thatd be quite funny actually, and thanks kempley for the update on that, they also suspended greece for government influence on the matches or something didnt they?

I never heard anything about greece myself but, it is very possible. Actually it wouldnt shock me at all.
 
That 'foul' wasn't really worth a penalty, but Portugal has no right to complain about that ^^
edit; or maybe it was...

it was IMO, cause he deliberately got his foot to block henry from walking, so altho a very minor foul it WAS inside the penalty area, Portugal FTL! woot!
